I have an possum living under my shed that I just let be. He hasn't done anything...yet. I just thoroughly despise them
    damn tree rats.
For some reason my house is a coon and possum attraction. I understood why when I had chickens but they've been gone for several years.

I just dispatch without prejudice at this point.

I get killing possums when you had chickens but what's the point when you no longer do? They eat a bunch of crap you don't want like ticks, roaches, grubs/beetles and rodents and they almost never have rabies because their normal body temperature is too low.

and they almost never have rabies
Don't want my pup to chase it and get clawed or bitten. They carry plenty of other diseases besides rabies. They are a nuisance and will be dispatched as such

The whole tick thing is a pr stunt by opossum marketing person. The actual study was designed to show a certain result.

    Ticks, not so much.
Yeah I can’t remember exactly how they rigged the first tick study…… I think they locked one in a cage and put ticks in with it and then counted the ticks that were left but not the ones attached or something like that
