Sorry, I didnt know you were replying to me. I don't have links or statistics. I guess the community wins. Crazy how many veterans it took to go after one person's opinion.S
Still ignoring the questions I see.

Nobody is "going after" anyone. Both the OP and you have presented your opinions, and the overwhelming majority of the people that have joined in on this thread just disagree with them. Mandatory training has never been a requirement for 18 year olds to carry in this state with a license. Why should that change if the requirement of a license to carry is no longer needed? Other than the "permission slip" to exercise a constitutional right, what would this law change in that regard? Neither you, nor the OP have answered that question.Sorry, I didnt know you were replying to me. I don't have links or statistics. I guess the community wins. Nobody has said that getting training is a bad idea, and in fact I think you will find that most folks on INGO think it's a good idea. The disagreement seems to be in regard to whether or not that training should be mandatory. It really is as simple as that.

Against mandatory just the right amount of snobbish.I wonder how he feels about covid shots?
too snobbish?
And you still haven’t answered the question. What is different other than the permission slip from daddy state?Good observation. Thank you for showing an unbiased opinion.
Ignorance of actual Indiana law. I don't know how to reply because I didn't know until you stated it. I still dont know all of the laws and that's a great reason for me to be here right ?I’m still wanting to know why the age is NOW a problem when it hasn’t been for how many decades? Is it pearl clutching or just ignorance of actual Indiana law?
Oh, it's definitely a little column A and a little column B.I’m still wanting to know why the age is NOW a problem when it hasn’t been for how many decades? Is it pearl clutching or just ignorance of actual Indiana law?
So you didn’t know the law, then once explained still stick to the narrative? I have to admit it Doesn’t bode well for your ability to learn imo.Ignorance of actual Indiana law. Mostly just ignorance. I really don't even know how to look up laws other than Google. I don't have a reference book for Indiana or federal laws. Maybe I shouldOh, it's definitely a little column A and a little column B.
I think everybody here has exactly that unbiased opinion.Good observation. Thank you for showing an unbiased opinion.
Do you have a LTCH? If so, you should get familiar with them (IN laws).Mostly just ignorance. I really don't even know how to look up laws other than Google. I don't have a reference book for Indiana or federal laws. Maybe I should
I still dont know the law you are referring to. Where did you explain it to me? My opinion may be altered. I'm not always right (even though my wife thinks I am).So you didn’t know the law, then once explained still stick to the narrative? You are right. I know enough just to get by but I would like to have a better understanding. Like I said, my opinion could be changed/altered based on a previous law that I had no prior knowledge of.Do you have a LTCH? If so, you should get familiar with them.
Of course! And thats why its ok for them to have a freakin laptop on and hanging from their dash while typing on it and driving down the road, TRAINING! I've witnessed more than once watching a patrol car drift back and forth in the lane here in town only to pull up next to him and see him on the laptop, yet I cant be trusted to talk on a phone. But they have tRaInInG
You need to get familiar with them before you're one of the people that worry you so bad. Ignorance isn't an excuse or defense. You would obviously have no idea if you were breaking the law or not, and that SHOULD scare the **** out of you (way more than a 18 year old with a gun). You are right. I know enough just to get by but I would like to have a better understanding. Like I said, my opinion could be changed/altered based on a previous law that I had no prior knowledge of.
You know the one where 18 can legally carry in the state of Indiana and have been able to for pretty much ever. Where this law does nothing but take away the mandatory permission slip from daddy state. That one. Where the age doesn’t change. The one where you and the OP are staying we will see blood in the streets and

I don't know one specific law applying to 18 year olds and carrying. I know my rights, I know where I can and cant carry, and I know when I'm allowed to defend myself. You may be right that I dont know every law. I am not denying that. But I know enough to survive. And I'm trying to learn everyday.
