I would love to see who reports posts.

I've reported a handful over the years. Not because I wanted to see someone get the hammer, but because sometimes letting a mod know a thread is heading off the rails can lead to a temporary lock and short cooling off period so it doesn't have to be completely nuked from orbit.

Sometimes an early warning to a mod can give them time to try to cool things down before it gets too out of hand.

I don't think I've ever reported a post, but I did once PM a mod about a classy listing that might have been an accidental felony, but a felony all the same. I would hope all of you guys would also notify management if you saw something similar, report button or not.

I generally don't report posts. Maybe I should think of it more like I'm helping out the mod staff. But I just don't don't. I've only ever reported one post. And that one was because a member directly threatened another member.

I'm not entirely convinced that it wasn't a shill account. Member since 2018, first post a couple of weeks ago, all in the Politics area, and came in with (liberal) guns blazing so to speak.
