I can't say I entirely disagree with you. It's hard to sit here all day, however I can't really complain when it's either 100° or 0° out. My last job was awesome because I worked in the office and in the field depending on what needed to be done that day. There is a certain comradery in the field you don't really get in an office, and you usually don't risk falling asleep at the desk.Took many cad classes in highschool and at ivy tech doing this kind of work to realize I don't like sitting behind a computer that long. It was fine and dandy for school.
My dads father gave me a print he was a part of from years ago. It is about 3 feet tall and 10 or so feet long. It was just one of 3 or 4 for this particular part.
If I can find it, I'll post a pic....I can't say I entirely disagree with you. It's hard to sit here all day, however I can't really complain when it's either 100° or 0° out. I've seen plenty of old school prints, but never something that big. I bet that was hell to keep intact in the field.
Do it!Had a couple people request some composite bars and pen blanks.
So... I did a thing.
This is the first popped out of the mold. The pink was labeled orange from manufacturer, but
I think I like it. Have to see what customer says.
Pics just don't capture the chatoyancy.
(the colors are just a representation. once cut into, the pattern will be vastly different)

I'm considering trying my hand at making a knife.
Something like this one below, so at least it's useful.
The Mrs. favorite style of knife.

The blade was ordered and supposed to be here Monday.Do it!
Btw, I love the blocks you made me, they look awesome! The dark ones are going on my first Damascus project, just got to cut them to size. Have you ever done any with wood?
I think it looks great! This is my first knife I've ever made.
Nothing special, and the photo quality is less than poo.
I can't take a photo to save my life.
The colors seem dark, but really aren't, so it doesn't show very well.
The last pic shows the colors.

I don't think there will be a second knife in my future.

Thanks. It's not up to your caliber, but everything went pretty smooth.I think it looks great!
You and I both. I didn't expect it to be worthy of showing, and expected to toss it to the back of my workbench, to be found sometime in the future.Color me impressed!
My caliber isn’t that high, and it’s a fine looking blade! Thanks. It's not up to your caliber, but everything went pretty smooth.
I doubt I'll do any more. We'll see what happens.
Those are really nice. I started making holsters myself about a year ago mainly due to having and going through guns so much its never cost effective to buy them. now i want to start trying to make some like those.Custom kydex holsters
