I'm going with this one !
Only if they bring bleach.
I'm going with this one !
One thing I see repeatedly missed here is that the home government of the illegal trespasser should be charged for his/her apprehension, trial, sentencing, and deportation.
If we added a PITA fee, we'd probably recoup a fair portion of our national debt!
Blessings,
Bill
Posted this on Myspace and was quickly told I am a bigot by a person who's family migrated from El Savador! I'm a horrible person for my beliefs.
You didn't take it down did you?
I have yet to get a reply.....Hmmm....without getting too "politcal" ,I completely disagree. I think this is an extreme idea of the pro-immigration viewpoint. I especially have a problem with this: "Oh yeah, and I DEMAND that you learn MY LANGUAGE!!! so that you can communicate with me" This is exactly a bigoted, racist point to make - to assume that immigrants believe that. This is coming from both of my parents being immigrants who did learn English, go to schoo, pay taxes, and recently become citizens.
HECK NO. I replied right under her comment with why I believe what I believe.
This was her comment
I have yet to get a reply.....

You know, last week I made a call where I had to press**2** for english. Yep, *2*. One was Spanish. I about crapped!
Going to other countries, no accomodation is made for those who do not speak the language. If you want to understand what's going on, you can hire or otherwise arrange for someone to help you who is bilingual. It is not the responsibility of everyone else to make up for the fact that you haven't learned the language of the country in which you claim to wish to live. Really, asking that you at least make an effort to converse in the language most of us speak, the language in which our Founding documents were written, and the language of our streets, highways, and all of our legislation is not such a big request. So many of our public schools are being forced to employ (at taxpayer expense) people who speak Spanish solely because the children do not speak English (Not picking on those of Hispanic descent, it's simply that my experience does not include teaching staff being hired for other languages.) There was a time that if a child could not understand spoken English, s/he was not enrolled in the school.Read from bottom to top. It's messed up how it pasted here but it's Myspace (which sucks).
I might not have answered everything to the best of my abilities...but I said what i wanted. You can't go to into detail with people who dis-agree....what you think, wont change their views.

The American system will never be fixed, IMO. Because the Government no longer works for the people, The people work for the government. I'm looking at statistics and I'm sorry...but I am dumb-founded.
22,285,121 illegal immigrants in the US
$34,968,671,799 wired to Mexico since 1996
$293,404,236,082 Money Wired to Latin America Since '01
$397,66,491,391Cost of Social Services for Illegal Immigrants Since 1996
399,080 Illegal Immigrants Incarcerated
$1,439,382,486 Cost of Incarcerations Since 2001
11,165,634 skilled jobs TAKEN by illegal immigrants
2,049,845 anchor babies
You are right...the system NEEDS to be fixed. Not sure the way that is best to fix it, but if something doesn't happen soon, we will be over populated AND looking (even closer)an economic collapse dead in the eyes.
Maybe while letting illegal immigrants become US citizens, we could make the country they are coming from pay the bill. You screw up, you get incarcerated, you get deployed your home government should eat that bill. Not the American Government. Again, Just my $.02.
These numbers are truly frightening. I hasten to add, as I said below, I don't care from what country the trespasser comes to us. I don't think that trespassing alone is a capital crime, but this is not simply trespassing anymore, not when the numbers are in the millions and the money being exported and expended is in the billions. This is an attack, and those who have violated our laws to be here could and quite possibly will be the Fifth Column in that attack. The answer to our immigration problem, IMHO, is to cease any and all aid to those who would tap our resources and give nothing back but a bit of unpleasant work.

Also not to get too political, but I disagree with this viewpoint. America is made up of immigrants or descendants of [immigrants], unless you are an American Indian [descendant] which I am. Truth is, nearly all of us got here by immigrating from somewhere else wishing to make a better life or to achieve "The American Dream." I believe the problem lies with trying to keep the borders up and keep people out. If these people were free to come in and not forced to come in illegally [in many cases seeking asylum from God can only imagine what kind of conditions...] There would be a way to make these people pay taxes like the rest of us hard workers who earn the right to be on welfare when times get tough [we payed our dues while we worked to be able to appreciate the benefits when times get tough] Unfortunately our system is flawed in such way that we also pay to help those who have never paid taxes in this country...by NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, I will add. I'm thankful that this country values human rights over protecting our borders [though that is questionable] and does help people seeking refuge; however, the system needs to be fixed so it can meet the needs of those who work and pay their dues, and still find it difficult to make it because of that same seriously flawed system.
Yes, this is correct; most of our ancestors did, in fact, immigrate to this land from other places. Most did so through places like Ellis Island or did so long before there were governmental entities or laws in place regulating that immigration. Few did so in the dark of night or with the services of a "coyote" to bring them across the border without detection. The former broke no laws, while the latter did so as their first action on our soil. The old saying is that you never get a second chance to make a first impression, and my first impression of those who broke our laws to get here is that they are criminals and illegal trespassers.
Additionally, there is no such thing as a "right" to welfare. The welfare system was created unConstitutionally by FDR after WWII; Rights are created by our Creator. Our Declaration of Independence enumerates a right to the pursuit of happiness, not to the attaining of happiness. I would have no problem with allowing anyone to enter my country, provided I was not expected to pay their way. Lest this come across as a lack of generosity, it is not. I simply do not appreciate being forced to contribute what I might give (or even give in excess of, were it my choice) voluntarily. As an example, I don't appreciate delivery charges added when I order a pizza. If I see them, the amount I tip is reduced. However, in a restaurant, I typically tip in excess of 25% and have been known to go as high as 50%, for excellent service. Poor service earns a reduced tip as well.
No, those people who have paid no taxes but wish to take advantage of our government's generosity with money that is not theirs are not at fault that they have not paid those taxes, but neither is it our fault that they are here.

As I do get your point as well. It's just hard for me to be okay with the imigrants that come to America illegaly and work for a fraction of what American (blue collared) workers do. It's taking jobs from people who have worked hard here their whole life. Numerous people in my family have lost their jobs because the factory (or place of employment) could get the work done cheaper by an imigrant. I just personally think that imigrants should not get special treatment different than everyone else. I feel, the same taxes should be paid by both Americans and imigrants. Props to your family for doing it the right way. If every immigrant did what your parents did, maybe I wouldn't feel the way I do now. But the fact is, most imigrants don't do it the right way. Most...don't learn English, Most don't pay taxes....and most stay here illegaly and don't try to get their citizenship.I'm sick of paying for others mistakes.
Just my $.02

You know...... if you smack them around a little they learn English very well.......plus they know how to ask for there money when they leave jail!!
Years ago, I heard a "joke" which said that the similarity between (fill in group name here) and a cue ball is simple:
The harder you hit them, the more English they have.
It's not very PC, but I would be surprised if our INGO LEOs would argue the point as being untrue.
How about it, guys?
