The link below has the the sniffing inhalants PSA. The Duffel Blog is spot-on with the irony.

Public Affairs Baffled After Anti-Drug Advertisement Actually Works

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Officials at the Pentagon are shocked that a public service announcement (PSA) warning against using spice and other designer drugs played on the Armed Forces Network has apparently lowered drug use among service members.

“We expected our PSA to have no effect at all,” said Colonel David Rikers. “First, nobody watches AFN. If they do they don’t watch the commercials. Second, we thought our ad was so stupid it would increase drug use. We are overjoyed to find out this is not the case.”

The thirty second spot shows clips from Hamlet dubbed over with new, stupid lines. Hamlet discusses “To spice or not to spice,” while his friend Horatio warns him “Prithee, forsooth, if thou beist under the influence of drugs, thou mayest happen to sign over power of attorney to an untrustworthy party.”

“Yeah I was doing all sorts of drugs,” said an airman who wished not to be identified, “But I stopped when I saw how a single joint drove Hamlet to madness. I just don’t want that to happen to me.”

I guess if you are dumb enough to be a doper, you are dumb enough that a commercial like that might be effective.

Even if they're anchoring the ropes for your climbing team
Well, now you’ve put a new constraint on it which directly affects me that I never agreed to. I don’t generally care what people do in their own bedrooms either, but I’d rather the people anchoring the rope aren’t having sex at the time. I kinda don’t like people drinking and driving on the road I’m driving on, but in their own home home where it doesn’t impact me, it’s none of my business.

The 4473 asks if you’re a user of or addicted to marijuana. It doesn’t say you can’t go to a dispensary and purchase it. I’ve picked up prescriptions for friends and family before. I’ve also picked up booze for parties where I didn’t consume any of it.

Short of trying to tack on additional charger to someone who has done something else to draw attention to themselves I don’t see the feds going down a list of purchasers and conducting door to door drug tests.

I truly believe people know the meaning of the question on the 4473. The manipulation of such, looking for loopholes and challenging the rhetoric are reasons we are faced with so many laws. It's responses like this, IMO, that makes people look closer; making big brother larger and more powerful.

I will agree they most likely will not monitor a list but they may randomly check it. Their findings may just be cause for more laws and stricter controls. The socialists droll over posts like this because it gives them more info to complete their goal.

I’m 47 years old, spent 6 years in the Army and 20 as a police officer including five years working undercover narcotics. I’ve seen a thing or two as well.

Some can drink socially and never have an issue, some can’t. Same with MJ. I’m also familiar with punishing everyone for the sins of a few, not a fan.
A phrase EVERYONE who intends to enjoy the 2A should be very familiar with.

I’m sorry but to argue for 2A and against other personal freedoms is cognitive dissidence at its worst, all freedoms come with responsibility. I can handle owning a machinegun and I believe it should be easier to do so, I can do it responsibly, as can many others, a few bad apples spoils it for all of us.

It’s the same with everything else, be it alcohol, tobacco or MJ, caving into more oversight, banning and restriction isn’t in our best interests, it all amounts to “think of the children” and if that argument doesn’t fly when it comes to freedom and guns, it shouldn’t fly for personal choices either.

It's not a loophole. It's a very simple reading and understanding of the question on the form. The only people interested in looking closer are those who feel they have a right to dictate what others can and cannot do to and with their own bodies in spite of the fact that it is abso-****ing-lutely none of their business. It's pretty simple actually, not difficult to understand for those capable of thinking objectively.

I walked into a dispensary in California because I was curious to see what was there and how it operated. They scanned my driver's license before I was allowed to go inside. Should I no longer be allowed to own guns now? Tell ya what....come get em.

The socialists can droll over whatever the hell they want. You're either on their side or you aren't and some have obviously made their choice already.

Who would like to tell me what I can and cannot eat for dinner tomorrow? Perhaps I shouldn't have a choice in who I vote for? Maybe someone can dictate what color car I can drive, whether or not I can wear blue jeans on Thursdays, if I'm entitled to toilet paper or just old newspapers to wipe my ass? You're either in favor of freedom or you're not. Claiming to be in favor of freedom so long as you agree with how it manifests for some is not being in favor of freedom. Some need to stop lying to themselves and own the fact that deep down they are the opposite of a patriot and are in fact a wolf in sheep's clothing. No better than those who vote for the scumbags in states like CA, NY and IL who have destroyed those places, move because they've created a nightmare for themselves only to vote for more of the same crap in their new location.

The sad thing is the exact same half-truths, emotional based “think of the children” type arguments and punishment of the many for the sins of a few is behind the push to ban firearms as it was behind alcohol prohibition and MJ prohibition.

the disconnect between “small government conservatives” and things like MJ, where they want the big mean government to keep them safe is pretty funny

For me, the Amityville Horror was the scariest movie I saw as a child. Apparently Reffer Madness had the same effect on some.

I support law enforcement enforcing laws that advance the local population.
Where law enforcement ceases to be a plus and becomes a means of tyranny is when they crawl up citizens asses with microscopes trying to create criminals out of everyone which does not benefit the population.
    That is abuse of power.
    We all know those types.

As long as you and others advertise your distaste of the law and rebellion of it, you give ammo to those wanting to take away your guns. Personally I do t give a rats behind what you may want to do in the privacy of your own home, but when individuals openly state their illegal intentions, it hurts the rest of us.

It’s sort of like the alphabet people, keep it to yourself.... no need to flaunt it and fuel the fire.
