If you open the agendas you will note that in the first two they are discussing background checks for all gun show purchaces.

Next year will be a return to wasteful UBC.

Not exactly. It is checks by all vendors at gun shows.

I would hope that will not get anywhere, but our state Republicans don't seem to be able to be counted on in right now.

So if I rent a space I have to have access to NICS as a private citizen?

I think this crept is as part of a compromise to get this to summer study. (the review of gun show B/C requirements) - I do not anticipate this will go anywhere at all. A sufficient number of reputable law makers can clarify this non-sense and, I hope, shoot it before it leaves the ground.

Witness testimony can do this as well; and probably will.

^^This. Paging Mr. Freeman, Mr. Kirk Freeman, please bring your tweed jacket and heel rocker shoes and educate these people on the details of Indiana's past UBC.

Kindly make sure to use the word "feckless" in this explanation!

Of the committee members, I've noted below the names and identified which ones we need to have a caution about.

No, it is not an error that I've identified Chairman Sen. Rodric Bray with the libbie Dems.

    SENATE
    HOUSE

    Sen. Rodric Bray
    Rep. Ben Smaltz
    Chairperson
    Vice Chairperson

    Sen. Michael Delph
    Rep. Terri Jo Austin
    Sen. Aaron Freeman
    Rep. Charlie Brown
    Sen. Susan Glick
    Rep. Edward Clere
    Sen. Eric Koch
    Rep. Sean Eberhart
    Sen. Timothy Lanane
    Rep. Philip GiaQuinta
    Sen. Lonnie Randolph
    Rep. Todd Huston
    Sen. Greg Taylor
    Rep. Chris Judy
    Sen. Michael Young
    Rep. Matthew Lehman
    Sen. Joseph Zakas
    Rep. Jim Lucas
    Rep. Peggy Mayfield
    Rep. Vanessa Summers
    Rep. Timothy Wesco

The names in red are those I expect to vote in favor of UBC, if it comes to a vote, and against Constitutional carry. It is no accident that these people are against the Constitution.

This post is my opinion, based on their voting records. The Dems marked above never saw a "gun control" law they didn't like, unless it was because it didn't go far enough in their minds.

Bray is included because he tried to scuttle the whole bill and send it all, even the protection of the DV victim, to Summer Study, rather than enact it and get them some form of protection from those who would harm them.

    Blessings,
    Bill

431 is the Senate Room ... I've not been there - but it is bigger from the videos. ...

I am hopeful, but uncertain I can make ANY - work is a bear - - or a mad pachyderm ... which is sitting on me. Going to try ... Thanks for the update guys!

I hope you get the bear or mad pachyderm off you long enough to make it Bill. I'd say bring them along but the State Po-Po probably wouldn't let either a bear or mad pachyderm in the building.

    I never get angry!

    (Oops. I just fibbed again!)

I do have plenty of inertia, though. Makes me hard to stop. Or start. Or turn.
