Yep, having moved from the south, I went to a skyline with some folks when I first moved here and was totally disgusted. I about threw up. Cinnamon in chili is blasphemy. I've never gone back. It's like people who put sugar in grits. It's not cream of wheat... Salt, butter and we'll allow some cheese (catfish and shrimp are also acceptable in grits...) But no sugar in grits and no cinnamon or whatever the hell skyline puts in it. Just no.
Never had Cinnamon in any chili I ate in Ohio. That would suck.
Its a Skyline Chili thing... Cinnamon and Chocolate.
OK I get it now. I have seen the Skyline places in passing just never stopped.
I am thankful for any food !
Some of you guys would have starved how about
Half cold Chili mac with corn and a apple. That’s it your one hot meal
Baked Chicken pink at the bone with corn and a orange. Enjoy
ground beef with noodles and gravy watch for pieces of bone with corn of course and a banana.
Eat like that for weeks at a time and you will be much less picky.
What cultural cuisine have you been unable to find in Indy?
Many of us know first hand this truth that Brad speaks.
It’s not really that any particular thing isn’t available in Indianapolis, it’s that you might have to drive across town to get it whereas in Columbus you have three or four choices reasonably close by. A lot of it has to do with OSU… Campuses attract everything.
It's probably a good thing I don't have a Korean place closer to me.

I liked very little about Korea but you can get some great Korean food there!
Then again, I'm pretty sure that I ate some Kentucky fried pigeon at the KFC in Itaewon many years ago.
