Or you could stay closer to home and read these two, and see where the country is headed:

Amazon.com: The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Great Depression and the New Deal (The Politically Incorrect Guides): Robert P. Murphy: Books

Amazon.com: The Roosevelt Myth: John T Flynn: Books

The parallels between BHO and FDR are truly astounding/frightening.

These don't show the rise and fall of Communist Countries and Dictators. They just show where we ALMOST went. Not where we ARE and what it would be like once we got there. The things that obamatard and Congress are doing and the things that liberals/socialists support aren't shown in the above books. No, you need to read about the USST and other Countries that HAVE been down that road and failed miserably because the concept obviously didn't work.:twocents:

It is a law of gravity that if you drop an object here, it will fall to the ground, but it is gravitational theory that explains how and why this occurs.

Gravity is a law, but we understand and explain it through a theory

Gravity is a law because it is empirically inviolable. Theories of evolution do not have that character. In fact, macro evolution, life emerging through chaos or randomness, has never been empirically observed, and may not be testable in any reproducible way.

Ladies and gentlemen, please don't encourage trolls.
Banging your head on a wall will produce the same results... but at least the wall won't keep egging you on.

    3. I don't think the sky is falling and don't believe that hyperinflation will occur in the near future.

If you do not believe that a serious economic day of reckoning is coming soon, one that will make our current recession look trivial by comparison, watch the web video linked in my sig line below. This is from a non-partisan economic policy foundation, and it is equally critical of Republicans and Democrats.

You may choose to remain misinformed or uninformed, because you prefer to stay in your comfortable beliefs than listen to the facts. If so, you're standing on a rickety pulpit from which to attack creationists.

Look guys, Ron is not being a troll. If he was he'd be antaginizing you into an arguement. I don't see that happening here. If you can't respect his opinions as he does ours, well, didn't your momma ever tell you if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all? :D J/K

Lets just continue the PRODUCTIVE and CIVIL conversation without the derogitive "Troll" and "You Dumb@$$" comments.

Let's just try to inform and educate. If it's one thing I've learned, you can't do so by name calling and other means of :fawk: comments.

    Thank you. Please continue.

    You Voted for Obama

Hey guys, I'm sort of a lurker on this forum. Mostly I just read the handguns and ammo section for tips and stuff. Lately, I've been reading the politics threads a lot. I like reading view points that conflict with mine, it gives me some sort of perspective and I like seeing what's happening with the opposite end of the political spectrum. I feel like sometimes the discussions on this section of the forums are sort of one sided, its a lot of preaching to the choir, so I would like to express my more "liberal" opinions and shock you guys.

    1. I don't think all Muslims are terrorists. I think extremists on either side are likely to be terrorists.
    2. I'm pro-choice.
    3. I don't think the sky is falling and don't believe that hyperinflation will occur in the near future.
    4. I think climate change is happening and that humans share some of the responsibility for that.
    5. I think evolution is as good of a theory as the theory of gravity.
    6. Let gays marry, why not?
    7. I don't think Ron Paul is that awesome, yes he has some good ideas but he has just as many wacky ones.
    8. I don't think there is a liberal bias in the media as much the media is just stupid and irrelevant lately.
    9. I don't think taxation is that horrible.
    10. I like the idea of "socialized" healthcare.

And just so the moderators don't think I'm some sort of liberal troll from outer-space, yes I'm from Indiana. Yes I'm a gun-owner and I love guns of all kinds. I love to go the range when I can. I too am having a hard time finding ammunition. But anyways, here I am.
So you voted for Obama....you got your wish. He is now President.
All I can say to that....Be careful for what you wish for, because you may get it.:n00b:

Really our only difference of opinion here is that I see the failure of communism as self-evident. I've read, for example, Koba the Dread, and understand fully the horrors suffered under Stalin. For me, the exercise wasn't so much enlightening as pornographic. Understanding the police state under the New Deal, on the other hand, when pretty much all of us received a whitewashed history lesson in public schools with this nonsense about FDR "getting us out of the Depression", when in fact he made it worse, seems to me a lot more meaningful. It identifies where we've truly gone wrong in our turn to Keynesianism, how we got this collective idea that government spending "helps" the economy, and perhaps most importantly shows how folks like BHO and FDR (not to mention GWB) make these errors of economic thought stick in the American system of government.

Besides, it's not as if I was telling the audience not to follow your advice. I was merely offering an additional idea for study. It's not either/or. It can be both/and. So you can stop rattling your saber, we have no quarrel here.

There are people out there who will swear they were abducted by aliens and some who believe the world is flat. I don't go out of my way to argue with them either.

Common sense is not a requirement to own a gun in this country. "...shall not be infringed..." so owning a gun is not real high on my list of things indicating credibility.

:lmfao: Rattling my saber? :lmfao: That's funny!

I wasn't quarreling with you. Yes, you've read all about Stalin and Hitler and F***ingDumb***Resident(FDR), but obviously Ron hasn't. If he did understand Stalin and Hitler and other communist Countries and their rise and falls, then maybe it would be EASIER for him to understand why the New Deal was such a mistake.

You can't learn how to run without first learning how to walk. That's all I was trying to say.

    Ouch.

See I'm somewhat disappointed you would think that I would buy a gun to be credible. I didn't buy a gun to fit in with some group. I don't spend money on ammo or hours cleaning guns just so that I can claim credibility with some online forum. I like guns, it makes me feel safer and its a hobby. I brought it up to show that I'm on this forum for another reason besides this thread.

If I wanted to emulate you and fit in, I could suggest a lack of common sense among some people I disagree with. But I won't. :-)
