Then your votes are irrelevant.I haven't voted for either party in 8 years, don't plan to go back.

A vote cast for a candidate that you believe is best suited for the job is never wasted. Continuing to elect the same parties that got us here is what is keeping us here. I have no regrets. Then your votes are irrelevant.
At some point, warm fuzzy feelings have to take reality into account.A vote cast for a candidate that you believe is best suited for the job is never wasted. Continuing to elect the same parties that got us here is what is keeping us here. I have no regrets.
I'll take the warm and fuzzy and leave you with reality! At some point, warm fuzzy feelings have to take reality into account.
No, it's pretty much how I described it, it's not a complicated concept. If by the modern sense do you mean how over the last four years democrats have tried to pervert it and make it sound like some sort of awful concept lol?No, that's not what encompasses the whole of nationalism, in the modern sense. I would expect a patriot to look out for their country before another.
Nationalism IS an awful concept. It’s not the same as being patriotic. You clearly don’t understand the differences, and that’s not meant to be a knock, it’s just the truth. The idea of the modern nationalist movements are 20th Century ideologies and something that has plunged us into two world wars, and countless armed conflicts. If care enough to inform yourself, look it up.No, it's pretty much how I described it, it's not a complicated concept. Thanks, i'm well versed in the differences and understand them well so I have to disagree with you.Nationalism IS an awful concept. It’s not the same as being patriotic. Might I inquire as to which books or pamphlets you might have read that gave you your knowledge on the subject? Thanks, i'm well versed in the differences and understand them well so I have to disagree with you.
All of them.Might I inquire as to which books or pamphlets you might have read that gave you your knowledge on the subject?
Ok, can you at least give me an example of a nation, outside the US (which actually doesn’t apply), historical or current, that exhibits the nationalism you envision? All of them.
Nationalism is just a word today's democrats use to make patriotism sound bad to the ignorant and uninformed. Those nationalist, fascist, Nazi Republicans. No, it's pretty much how I described it, it's not a complicated concept. Isn't that the definition of patriotism?Webster's definition of nationalism is "loyalty and devotion to a nation."
To some people, "nationalism" includes hatred for and a desire to subjugate every person in existence who does not agree completely with your particular political and social ideals. The definition doesn't say that.
It seems what one calls love of country, another calls desire for world domination.
I love my country, but I don't want the U.S. to conquer any other country.
You might want to talk to a German about this. Thanks, i'm well versed in the differences and understand them well so I have to disagree with you.
Well, I'm not ignorant or uniformed and it sounds bad to me.Nationalism is just a word today's democrats use to make patriotism sound bad to the ignorant and uninformed. Those nationalist, fascist, Nazi Republicans.
Maybe reread my words, a little more carefully this time.Well, I'm not ignorant or uniformed and it sounds bad to me.
Yes, Malheur is a perfect example. Up until one of the protestors was waylaid and murdered in an ambush, there was an 'occupation' - you know, kind of like Democrats staging a sit-in in the well of the House, only with adults and no crying - but no violenceOr how about the take over of the wildlife center? Are you wanting me to dig up violent protests by the right to show parity? I’m not sure what that would prove.
