Unbiased due to Gender opinion: one's belt will make just as much difference in concealing / carrying a firearm as the holster. A good belt will get you by much better along with a "cheap" holster than a "cheap" belt and a good holster.

Thank you for your input. Decided to get the belt first, then work on finding a holster. As for cc or oc....not sure I will carry at all...lol. Just want to be prepared if and when I wanted to and that will also mean some training. At this time tho, cc would be my intent. Just for giggles, I decided to wear the gun in my waistline inside my belt...no holster....
( UNLOADED OF COURSE) and it fits really nicely, so it may be that will be the direction for me to go.
Thank you all again.
Send me a text the next time you know you're going to visit and I'll bring an IWB holster I got from High Noon (for my J-Frame) for you to try out. If your gun fits it (I don't remember what model it was), you can feel free to test drive the holster for a couple weeks and see if it's something you'd like to pursue yourself. I used it for slightly off-center "small of back"...kind of about "5 O'clock" position.
I carry my .38 snubbie two ways - one is on the ankle with a Galco ankle glove. The other is on my right hip, about 4 - 5 o'clock position. I use a Crossbreed IWB. Before I go out, I check in the mirror and make sure it's really concealed. If I'm not happy with it, I switch to the ankle.
I'm over weight and I have a friend who is under weight - it's easier for me to conceal than for her to conceal carry.
