Wow. She must be a big girl.:D

My Dad's is way bigger and heavier than mine. We used 4 on the front side of his and 2 in the back, otherwise it would push up the carpet as we slid it down the hall.

Want to build a climbing wall, this will serve as the post at junction of two 90 degree walls. It will have some arms on the top for belay ropes and to suspend a climbing rope for exercise

hahaha. I told my wife. She said it was nowhere near 6" and stop buying things on craigslist

Interesting. Do you have any pictures or drawings of the wall you plan on building?

    I don't get it

You see young bills, I was making a bit of a double entendre... While I was referring to Doc's wooden post appearing to be of adequate strength, length, and girth, I was also using terminology frequently used on this very forum to asses how well a user is able to project his or her intended communications via the written word.

I watched a few YouTube videos on how to do the pole and the trench seems like the way to go. Alternatively, we will have a backhoe on our lot in a month so I may cheat and have them do it :):

Both sound too involved. Get yourself a Scottsman and have him caber toss it into the hole.

not really. My wife vetoed the boat in the yard for now so I had to move on. Hoping to have the post in the middle of two intersecting walls. One wall will have some outward slope on it to make it harder, the other will be straight up I think. Off the top of the pole I want to have a bracket that hangs out over each wall face to allow a climbing rope to go through for belay purposes. I can put an earth anchor in the ground by each wall to make it easier to control the rope and climber. Also want a third attachment point on the pole for a manila climbing rope for training purposes.
