Dear [redacted]:
Thank you for taking the time to contact my office. Hearing firsthand from constituents on an issue allows me to gauge interest, gather information, and better represent District 34 at the State House.
I appreciate your passion and advocacy for HB 1369, and although I do respect and support our 2nd Amendment rights, I have some serious concerns about how this bill would impact my district and Indiana as a whole.
If passed, House Bill 1369 would eliminate the license to carry a handgun in Indiana, which would make it even easier for Hoosiers to purchase and carry firearms. As a legislator who represents a district that has been plagued by gun violence over the last several years, I fear that this legislation could result in even more guns on our streets, and even more loss of life. Many of my constituents share these concerns and have been contacting me to express their opposition to this bill.
Furthermore, I have spoken with multiple law enforcement agencies who are opposed to this legislation, including the Indiana State Police and Marion County Sherriff's Office. If passed, this bill would actually defund the police. By eliminating the revenue from these licenses, law enforcement agencies would lose $5.3 million per year to train law enforcement officers, a tab that taxpayers would at least partially have to pick up.
Our local law enforcement agencies are already under enough pressure with the limited resources they have, especially during this pandemic. I believe it would be unwise to further reduce support for these agencies. For these reasons, I cannot support this legislation as it is currently written, and will be voting against it unless significant changes are made.
Again, thank you for reaching out about public health. Please do not hesitate to reach out to my office if you have any further questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Jean D. Breaux
Indiana Senate District 34
Maybe if they would have let the National Guard crack some skulls instead of letting commies burn loot local businesses, they may not have been so far behind on funds, also opening up the economy as it was in 2019 would help income as well.We need to recall this clown.
This is the response I got back in Feb.
I spotted three blatant, let’s say teachable moments and I was scrolling fast. A reply pointing out the blatant errors may not do much, but it would be fun.We need to recall this clown.

If you do multiple emails do they get tossed or will they answer each one?I noticed that 7 senators were added as cosponsors to the bill today.
OH HELL YES!!!!!!I noticed that 7 senators were added as cosponsors to the bill today.
Hell I've emailed and called my congress critters probably 100 times now. I've had 1, I repeat, 1 response, and it didn't even pertain to my email. If you do multiple emails do they get tossed or will they answer each one?
Let's not be disappointing until it's too late and we need to be.I feel like we have made great strides over the last few years in Indiana, but it is hard looking at the other states with constitutional carry and not getting disappointed. I think realistically it will take a few more years before our state legislature sees the light. Though, I still contacted my representatives.

Oops. Either way I look forward to emailing her before the next election to tell her, due to her ignorant ******** I will be voting for any republican other than her.FYI: This is Senator Breaux.
I don't want to assume gender, but perhaps "he" might be the wrong pronoun?
Sadly, I don't think that Indiana has a recall process.
Blessings,
Bill
