Has anyone tried invisible fence with goats? Not a goat keeper, just curious.

I don't think that this would work. Goats aren't as smart as dogs, and they are more inclined to panic running, which I think a shock could trigger. (Full disclosure: I have never owned goats; I just help with the ones that consistently escape from a few neighbors.)

Plus, as Mom said, a fence works in both directions.

Since someone else bumped the thread....

If anyone reading this is interested in getting a llama or 5 - please let me know. My folks are downsizing their herd greatly. They're in west-central Indiana. I can put you in touch.

If I had a million dollars, I'd buy you an exotic pet. Like a llama or an emu. :)

Lamb and goat are tasty. Llama is OK; I don't think that I would ever order it again. I've never eaten alpaca.

I like lamb. The only goat I've ever tried was "curried goat" at a Jamaican restaurant/buffet and I'm not really a fan of curry, so I couldn't really give it a fair judgement but I'd probably like it.

It's what I tend to eat in Indian restaurants. But I do like curry.

I've heard there are different types of curry. It's just that the only ones I've had (not many) all tasted too "earthy" for lack of a better term, for my taste. (That's a nice way of saying it tasted like dirt. LOL) I'd always heard it was spicy, and it's never tasted spicy to me, so maybe I've just tried the wrong kinds.
