Can someone help me understand the 5 mag rule? At $40/mag it's almost a new gun! I would really like to participate but with two mags it seems like it won't be worth my $10. Would appreciate clarification on this.

    Thanks.

    Neeilly

5 magazines or speed loaders is now the minimum requirement. If you do not bring enough magazines to complete all of the strings of fire, you will receive the maximum time for the strings of fire that you were unable to complete. We will not allow shooters (or their friends) to load magazines at the shooting line in between strings of fire, as it slows down the shooting procedure for other competitors.

    I hope this helps

Yup, we reload mags between stages after we shoot our strings. Too many people shooting to wait for people to reload mags.

Besides, more mags is more gooderer.

Well, I picked up a Saiga 12 last night and kicking around the idea of bringing it out. The only problem is that I only have one 5 rd mag and one 12 rd mag. 1st, would anyone be willing to let me borrow some 10 or 12 round saiga 12 mags.

Second, for shotgun, what is the recommened shot size?

    Thanks

OOH, the deadline for the gun count guess is rapidly approaching.
    Let's see;
the weather looks like it could suck,
ammo is expensive, IF you can find it,
post count in this thread is weak.

I'm thinking the number will go down...

I should be there. Still waiting on word from babysitter. I can't wait for the kids to be old enough to take with me.

I think I might stop out if it is not down pouring.

I will have my Ruger MKIII with plenty of mags.

What class does the Ruger MKIII's fall under? I am guessing production. This is still new to me. The one I went to last year was a blast.

Your class would be rimfire pistol.

    Gotta shoot it now!

I'm guessing shotgunners can reload between strings?... but not six shooter?

I plan to use both, but only have 2 speedloaders.

    Plus my G19.

Whats the story with the weather?

    Shoot rain or shine?

So, say I'm bring a Glock 22, I load to a max of 10 per mag? I've got to get in on this... it sounds like a good time.

Please check out the rules posted on the website:

    www.IndyRange.com

There is a link under Programs > Friday Night Steel

In your case, you could shoot in the Production division (10 rds/mag max), Limited 10 (again 10 rds/mag max), Limited (no capacity limit), or Open (no capacity limit). There is a better explaination of the rules on the website; please check it out!
    Sincerely,
    Chuck
