Say the governor of Virginia, also lacking an R next to his name, begs the president for help to prevent these "terrorists" from overrunning one of his cities.

It won't take burning down buildings, riots, looting, or "autonomous zones". Just the mere possibility of such by a group the administration of the day considers "terrorists".

And that's already a label applied to most of us because of an organization to which many of us belong. When those who'd label us as such have the power, do you think they wouldn't use it?

The governor of Washington has his state's National Guard at his disposal. Let him use it. If he won't, f**k 'em.

Well, hold on. Saying that one solution isn't wise isn't shrugging shoulders. When deciding how to handle things leaders also need to think about the potential and likely consequences of their solutions.

I wouldn't worry about it. The rebel community is already eating itself into starvation. One of the founders already being canceled for sexual abuse or something.

It'll be a fun, brief experiment that will end in its inevitable and expected way.

They have their municipal police departments, King County Sheriff's department, Washington State Patrol and the Washington National Guard. These are all available to the city and state government to use to restore order. If they do not choose to do so that is their issue. Their decisions may change as the situation develops. I don't see any justification for federal involvement yet other than observation by FBI or other alphabets already in the area.

Unless something changes, the locals have fostered these ideals, they should deal with the problems.

I don't think anyone suggested that someone should violate their oath of the orders are given, but those words are not a mandate that the order be given.

Maybe the "oath keepers" should head out there if that's what this means.
