    Flooding the tube can easily result in 12 atmos of pressure change.
    Then, throw in the impulse pressure.

    Swimming to the surface wouldn't be their worry.

    You certainly could fly them to a coastal city and have a free helicopter ride waiting for them at the airport

    But Superior is 500 feet deep, and the process would be less Byzantine

    Flying lessons or becoming a human torpedo? How about we split the difference and do both. After all, we have plenty of worthy recipients of such attention.

    Not like you need 500ft of water to get the job done. Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes. I'm sure you could find a few that would suffice. Might just need to add an anchor.

    Or a plane into the water.
    Well they have plane launched torpedos, and sub launched planes... I'm sure we could figure something out.
