The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) recently encouraged teachers to register for training that encourages "ethnomathematics" and argues, among other things, that White supremacy manifests itself in the focus on finding the right answer.

An ODE newsletter sent last week advertises a Feb. 21 "Pathway to Math Equity Micro-Course," which is designed for middle school teachers to make use of a toolkit for "dismantling racism in mathematics." The event website identifies the event as a partnership between California's San Mateo County Office of Education, The Education Trust-West and others.

Part of the toolkit includes a list of ways "white supremacy culture" allegedly "infiltrates math classrooms." Those include "the focus is on getting the 'right' answer," students being "required to 'show their work,'" and other alleged manifestations.

For decades there have been people involved in education decrying the intentional dumbing down of children in government controlled schools. Why hasn't anyone paid attention?
Probably because it is a prime example illustrating that it's an establishment thing, not a left thing.

Yeah I used to be that way as well.

Had a conversation one day that went to the gutter as the person of color involved lost all credibility in his opinions and arguments with me. I was calm and sharing my views.
When he saw his points and opinions were moot and useless once past the MSM twists and sound bite editing he called me a racist. I reminded him of the mixed children we loved so dearly and was open to the other family involved regardless of how racist they were towards us and asked how that made me a racist.

His response......"Because you are white.".....you just cant help yourself. his man "Was" a friend of many years right up to the point I near took his head off.
