    .
He's worked for Mckinsey and the Cohen group, big time world wide dc insiders and I would guess that where his allegiance lies. Expect some really serious money for "infrastructure" will be headed that direction.

One has to remember that Butigieg was not elected. His is an appointed position, and that makes it all the more scary!
Thats my point. That he was found to be competent for that position after his ridiculous stint as a failed Mayor just scares the hell out of me.

It is more the norm these days.

Well shut my mouth. I had zero idea.
My bad but I will challenge him to some competitions at the range. Might be interesting and no, his service changes nothing.
I completely agree that his political ideas are trash. He imo screwed up the city streets of south bend and focused on bringing bars into the area to create "jobs" while factories were shutting down.

However that said I think Pete is a guy I would welcome conversation with. Id like to know why he thinks so strongly on certain issues. He seems from what ive seen to be a nice, and open person that you could have a real conversation with. He just comes up with the complete opposite solution that I would.

I suspect you'd leave that meeting frustrated. Their "solutions" always rely on their "facts" which in many, if not most cases, aren't. They don't mind skipping over a significant portion of reality to reach their conclusions and I haven't met a liberal yet who could stick out a challenging conversation without calling me a racist and scurrying off to a safe space somewhere.

perhaps your right. I wonder if i see it through rose colored glasses because we come from the same town. I'll likely never know. He never gave me that politician vibe when he was mayor. Just seemed to make weird choices. Maybe he's changed now that he's in DC.

I could just as easily be wrong, I don't know the guy personally but he'd be the first capable of a lengthy discussion when I refuse to accept falsehoods.

    Good on you sir. Seriously.
In my time on this rock I have done much the same only to find the energy wasted because when you truly discover the reasoning behind some of this idiocy it will twist up your shorts.

And let’s not forget he worked for McKenzie, the same company that advised Purdue pharmaceuticals how to get more people hooked on Oxy.

Well we are not sure if he was a clerk or in supply....?????
Hey be nice to the supply guys now. Mayor Pete was an Intel officer. Junior officer, probably mostly providing briefings on specific areas that he would be responsible for.

I think this is something similar we see with Tulsi Gabbard. Not active duty, probably volunteer for a rotation over there to get your cred.

I was definitely not a door kicker, after all I’m a nerd. I am cynical enough to look at people’s motives and wonder about them.

I feel pretty much the same as you and also with Tulsi Gabbord. 95% horrible political ideas, but doesn't strike me as being the downright evil SOBs we have holding most of the power in this country. I wouldn't vote for either of them, but I wouldn't be compelled to punch them straight in the face either.

I have had the displeasure of trying to have a conversation with this joker. No he's not a nice person to converse with, very arrogant. He is pretty sure he is the smartest person in the room, and incredible little man syndrome.

You may think different about that face punching after about 5 min. Especially if it's a conversation on something you have knowledge on. He is quite fake and arrogant.
