Trying to figure out why some of the threads I follow didn't show up in my little alerts (bell) section. This thread and the girls with guns thread neither one showed new posts until I actually went into that section of the forum. Other threads notified me fine...

The world has indeed lost its fricking mind. Easy times creates soft minds. Life has been easy for many. People have learned to delegate. Need shopping done? Don't go to the store, just hit an app on your phone and delegate the shopping trip to someone else. Need fast food? Delegate that trip to door dash. Need to know what matters in life? Delegate thinking to the media who are more than happy to hand you an opinion complete with the emotional surge behind it.

The science fiction of the past often portrayed a blissful future where people delegated most work away and used that extra time to produce art and design great things. Hogwash. Take work away from people and they tend to surf porn and wallow in fake emotion all day. High unemployment is the root of many revolutions and the covid scare has put a lot of people on the bench with nothing to do other than be fed leftist opinions by the media.
