I'd like to see him stay as long as the terms are reasonable. What does INGO think?
Will the Colts franchise tag Michael Pittman Jr?
Sign him to a big extension? Let him walk in free agency?

I heard a report that Romo really went down the golf rabbit hole and just wasn't spending the time he needed to on his analyst gig. No idea if that is true or not, but seems plausible?I’m really baffled by what has happened to him? No one seems to have an answer. CBS reportedly had meetings with him after the 2022 season trying to step-it up before the SB.
Yep, that's how the NFL is. I saw an article earlier today saying they expect Dak to get $60 million a year from Dallas. His deal is probably going to be bigger than people are expecting.
Just preparing you all ahead of time for the “that’s way too big of a contract” discussions.
Ballard said it himself is in press conference:
“The market is what the market is," Ballard said. "You have to have gas in your car and if it’s $4 a gallon, it’s $4 a gallon. It is what it is. There are ways to build your team and if that’s one of the ways you need to do it, then you need to do it. ... You’ve got to have wideouts.”
He’ll get close to Andrew Luck’s last contract, to put it into context.

”For now, multiple sources have indicated that the teams expect the 2024 cap to be in the neighborhood of $242 million and $243 million. Another source, in response to that number, had this reaction: “More.”
“Whatever it is, it’s a far cry from the initial cap, back in 1994, of $34.6 million.“
“UPDATE 1:47 p.m. ET: Another source, with a proven record of accuracy in these matters, says it will be closer to $250 million than to $243 million.”
Big bump in the cap
Lockdown corner available for any team that has a ton of cap space and a need for a lockdown corner. Can’t think of any of those teams….

I don't see any scenario in which the Colts let MPJ hit the FA market. If they can't get a long-term deal done, I imagine that they tag him, let him test the waters, and then get the long-term deal done. (If someone wants to give up 2 firsts for him, though? Probably okay.)What does INGO think?

JT better enjoy that money he got. Some big name may not get any more even with the cap increase.
No franchise tags coming for running backs
A year after an offseason in which several top running backs complained they were underpaid, some of the NFL's best-known running backs will now have the chance to find out what they're worth in a free market.www.nbcsports.com
Yeah, you see so much of that on X.The Talking Heads were universally bashing the Colts when they were going though the contract negotiations with Taylor.
“You pay your best players”
“Good organizations find ways to keep good players on their roster”
If/when Taylor gets nicked up and misses a game or two, those same morons will all say the same thing,
“See, this is exactly why you don’t pay running backs.”
“Good teams don’t get hamstrung by bad contracts.”
Part of the problem is that the talking heads were treating the Colts-JT situation as if JT weren't still under contract (and worse, as if JT were holding out), when in fact, all the negotiations happened a) while he was under contract, and b) while he was injured. The Talking Heads were universally bashing the Colts when they were going though the contract negotiations with Taylor.
