Did you read about the experiments Google hooked up with American Airlines to do aimed at changing flight paths to avoid causing contrails?

It caused the test flights to burn 2% more fuel, creating MORE CO2, so that the contrails wouldn't create cirrus clouds that reflect radiated heat back to earth at night. No quantification of how much forcing contrails were responsible for, thus not possible to compare the forcing of the additional CO2 produced by the additional fuel burn to the forcing eliminated by minimizing contrails (which also reflect insolation back into space in the daytime) so no cost/benefit analysis possible

Lets just do stuff that sounds good, I guess

Old stupidity, I remember hippies pointing at contrails and saying that it was smoke from the plane engines.

CO2 capture? I see this as a big consumer of electrical power to run the machines and make the chemicals involved in the technology's eventual capture, assuming it works. An endless cycle financed by tax payers that never runs out of CO2 as the process of running the tech generates CO2.
Don’t trees do that for free?

The planet has more trees now than 100 years ago. Due to the industrial scaling of tree harvesting in the decades leading to the 1920’s boom, There were an estimated 750 billion trees worldwide in the 1920s. Since then, and with planting for harvest schemes, we now have approximately 3.04 trillion trees in the world.

This is good! Because Emerald of Lumber Capital Log Yard needs the work.

Notice her Don't Worry, I Hugged It First shirt, referring to the tree...
