One of the many of your rides that I have not seen in person. Very nice! This is my classic. It's a 69 Fiat Spider that's had a healthy dose of tuning applied

I need to pick your brain as I go through restoring/rebuilding a Jeep Cherokee I'm about to buy! I tried to find a suitable squarebody but in a nationwide search I couldn't find anything in the condition I wanted for the price I was willing to pay so I'm going a different route. Here's a few more from the pastView attachment 188255View attachment 188260View attachment 188257View attachment 188258View attachment 188259

That looks like an MG-TD all right. But I don't think it's a 1954. If memory serves, the MG-TF was introduced in 1953 or '54 and the last TD was made in '53.Must've been a fun project.
Cool story! Gives me hope that I'm not too crazy for starting a restoration project at 62!My father's 1982 Z28 camaro. He's won many many car shows with his baby. Even got to take it on the Indy 500 track. He's 81 now. Started building this from a stock car in the mid 90s to what it is today. He still actively modifies it and takes it to shows. As of last week he put a new radiator in. lol
He's the President of the 9th Street gang car club out of Grant County who hosts the James Dean car show in Fairmount. Pulls over 500 hp. Maybe more. It's quite the popular car in Grant County.
I worked in the Chrysler plant in Kokomo for a while. I ran into several workers there that still had the Superbirds they bought new. They did well keeping them stored and maintained. Mostly are used for parades and the annual company car show. Better than money in the bank. A lot of people did the same with Vipers. I know a couple dozen guys that keep a Viper in storage. That green slip price for employees really helps if a guy wants a special car.My all time favorite car, a 70 Superbird. I have always dreamed of owning an Alpine White bird. Prices are so high on them now I believe it will have to remain a dream.
Just work fast.Cool story! Gives me hope that I'm not too crazy for starting a restoration project at 62!
My plan is to have it done by retirement and then be able to drive it to McDonalds and sit in the corner with the other old men and drink coffee.Just work fast.
What you meant to say was...My plan is to have it done by retirement and then be able to drive it to McDonalds and sit in the corner with the other old men and drink coffee.
That's probably much more accurate. What you meant to say was...
You'll retire when it's done.
