This was at a Ohio Valley at one of their heads up outlaw/ Pro Mod races.
Dad was in the seat, my brother standing at the back of the car and his son is the little fella you can barely see over the hood scoop. I was apparently talking to dad when this shot was snapped.
Almost every time we go down there the heat is just brutal. Near or above 90* with track temps over 130* but they kill the prep and still make the track hook.

OK last one for a while I promise.
64 Chevell S/S (real S/S) we brought back from New Mexico. It had 87K on the clock but the 327 had a window in the block.
Put i on the spit and full frame off. It won class at the 500 world of wheels.
    Supercharged 454 4 speed.

Still one of the most underappreciated machines GM made IMO....

Much better than the bloated crap that came later.

Yes. They had the perfect back space to get the biggest tires that would fit on that car.
I caught some flack for that choice but I owned the Camaro and the Biscayne and was racing them while building the Chevell. Budget restrictions came to bear. After putting Fat Jacks front control arms on it, Hotchkiss rear arms, Guldstrand adjustable shocks and springs in it I was near tapped out.
Those wheels were new in the box and fit my needs perfectly.
