I spent a year looking for a square body truck in decent condition to replace my '88 chevy pickup. Prices were insane, and we ended up buying a 92 that was from Florida with zero rust. That's my back up for when the roads aren't good. You and me both. Plus a bazillion other folks! I gave up trying to find a suitable one to restomod/restore.
Pretty certain it`s a `29 International .........Can`t find any info that they made a double cab in that era ?That looks like a home built. What is the body?
I have thought about the OBS era but they don't hold any sentimental value for me. I was long done building trucks at the Flint Chevy truck plant by the time the OBS years hit.I spent a year looking for a square body truck in decent condition to replace my '88 chevy pickup. Or do you allow this to happen.Yeah her S/S is a monster out of the hole. She gets me about 3 car lengths on take off then I close it quick.
They are a close match the Shelby is a rocket after 2nd gear. Ford did that to protect the transmission.
She normally gets me by a nose.
Mike, are you using a smog pump to build the crank case pressure up?
One of my brothers had a '70 'Cuda, 440, 4-speed. It was a monster.‘69 Pontiac GTO Judge

Probably a vacuum pump to remove excess crank case pressure. Then has another hose to a small catch can to collect oil sucked in.Mike, are you using a smog pump to build the crank case pressure up?
Ok, that makes sense, the Motorcycle sized air cleaner threw me off. Thank you.Probably a vacuum pump to remove excess crank case pressure. Then has another hose to a small catch can to collect oil sucked in.

Evac.Mike, are you using a smog pump to build the crank case pressure up?
If it has modern electronics running the engine the alternator is a must. They run better with a constant 14V supplied.Ok, that makes sense, the Motorcycle sized air cleaner threw me off. Thank you.
Not often you see an alternator on a straight axle gasser either.
