    IME, a lot of the smaller, local PD's do this as part of their process....and it is my understanding that they can recommend either a denial or approval to the ISP...but haven't heard of that recommendation going anywhere further than just that

    When I first applied in the 90's at the Mooresville Police Dept. it was in and out, no questions asked.

    Man it's nice living out in the "country", county sheriffs office didn't even blink!:rockwoot:
    When we moved to Hendricks County and was time for my re-up and went in for the lifetime, the only delay I had was waiting for a jail officer to come up to finger print me. That was a whole 3 minutes.:D
