Saudi Arabia Urged Not to Paralyze Man as Punishment for a Fight

According to this article, the Saudi government is well on it's way to having a hospital sever the spinal cord of a man who paralyzed another man in a fight. Apparently, this sort of thing is common and permissible under their "religious" law.

This transcends religion---this is about HUMAN RIGHTS. This amounts to nothing less than torture. The international community is calling on Saudi Arabia not to torture it's citizens.

    More at the source.

I just read the first post and cannot be bothered reading the rest.

    But this is damn funny.

You realize we live in a country that decades defined waterboarding as torture until we decided it would be a good idea?

And you want MY tax dollars to pay for an attack on another country for its internal affairs? Because ITS behavior offends you?

    Wow.

At least you made me laugh.
