So just a variation of them yelling "Stop resisting" without the perp ACTUALLY resisting giving them cover do things they otherwise couldnt. Got it.

Not an equal comparison. Yelling "drop the knife" is NOT a common phrase, "Stop resisting" is. So, the officers would have to consciously CHOOSE to use that phrase when "stop resisting" would be quite sufficient. That choice would suggest intent that they wanted onlookers too believe that they believed he was armed. They would only want people to believe that if they thought they were going to shoot him. That suggest pre-meditation. A hefty charge

I am 100% pro-cop. I have no opinion on this particular incident other than all parties are innocent until proven guilty. I'm mainly just commenting so I can follow the conversation/discussion among my fellow Indiana gun owners.
