Thanks guys. I may have to do some measuring.
I'd rather go one piece if I can.
This one may just fit my need, (12 inch model) though I'd rather not pay this much for it:

A 12" rod will not work with a 8" pistol.
Cleaning?
May I ask why you are set on a one piece rod?
Yes what is this "cleaning" you speak of.
J. Dewey manufacturing cleaning rods on Amazon.
Yep, familiar with Dewey, and have had them before. Good stuff, just trying to find one that is somewhere in the 16" - maybe 22" range (which I understand why we don't see many one piece rods in this length, as for most rifles, it would be too short).
This one may work: https://deweyrods.com/product/30-caliber-nylon-coated-rod-17-inches/
I've got one that's 24"

Upon further review, I did not give this the attention it deserves. So much to work with.
Its that thing you do when it gums up so bad it doesnt go bang reliably.
My main ar leaves a layer of grime on anyone that touches it and it still works lol. Sometimes I drip some clp on the part that goes forward after a long day with the suppressor. Cleaning, for the most part, is jusy vanity on non blued guns.
Eh, I clean guns. To me its like changing the oil in vehicles. It's something I do. It removes that as a possible issue in the equation.
*induces possible problems...
Counterintuitive, but it's what I've been told by the builders of my two highest priced guns. Over cleaning is an issue, and a root cause of many wear and accuracy issues... My precision rifle builder told me to shoot it until its groups open up.

In the Army we cleaned our weapons every time we fired them. Never heard of "over cleaning".
I often see people on here who claim they never clean their guns and then I see them selling guns on the Classifieds and I'm like nope.
That's where the problem came from. Gunsmiths and engineers trying to figure out why training guns where failing while test guns that never get cleaned ram for thousands of rounds. You don't tear an engine down to change the oil, drain and replace.
