Been trying to find another 84 bird just to **** my son off. Found a Coonan .357 1911 on gunbroker with "no minimum" but it wouldn't let me bid $1 on it. What in heck does "no minimum" mean, anyway?

Oh, I test drove one of those fox turbo coupes, worst car I'd ever been at the wheel of. The "power" steering was as bad as if there was not only no power but you were fighting a power compressor with a broken belt, and I know of which I speak. Then the thing would sit there until you wound it up enough to kick the charger in, and it felt like you'd been rear ended. I hope yours was a whole lot better than that.

Yeah, not quick off the line (I smoked a few rustangs in it) but fun to drive and great fuel mileage.

Were the T.C.'s available with a 5 spd? I used to have a Dodge Shelby Daytona and got pretty good at getting the boost up before leaving the line, smoked a few mustangs with that one myself! I'd almost like to find another one as a daily driver.

This is what I do for a living, And also have my own shop at home for mostly wiring and such for the street rod/race car crowd.
I wish I still had my local server up with the pics I have done here, there is some pretty cool stuff.

Had the Blue GTX for 26 years in various forms....Sold it in 06 because it was tearing up a valuable rare car and it needed roll bar in it that I was not willing to do , started on another and life and loss of interest kinda got in the way so it sits.

I winterized my lawn mower earlier this week.

That's the extent of what I can do.

By the way - you're all welcome. Because I've winterized it, we'll all have another month of grass-growing weather and I'll have to use my mower again.

Thats really nice. I wish i had a lift. Im hoping my next one is a older camero of some sort. Ive been working on this s10 for about 7months now been kinda lazy. Would really like to find a 6speed T-56 to mate to this motor for it tough but anytime i find one its well over $1500. I currently have a NV3500 5 speed that im goign to use till I destroy it lol.

Ok. I’ll bring things down a few notches. I pick up a 1988 Chevy 1-ton dump truck a few months ago. When I test-drove it the thing pulled to the right pretty bad so I figured the left caliper was frozen up. This is what I found when I pulled off the left front tire.

I had a non mechanical friend call me up a while back... Was changing his tire... His question was where do the rings go??? What??? The rings they are loose where do they go??? Had to take a look. Same thing but with a drum. Had to take a picture. the shoe wore so long that the drum separated from the center hub of the drum.

I've seen this! A co-worker brought his F350 by the house one day with the same complaint. When we pulled the wheel off I just stood and stared in amazement then started laughing. He was completely clueless on what he was looking at so I had him pull the wheel off the other side and explain to me what was wrong. You know, trying to force a non-gearhead into learning something.

Those of you doing these projects, how did you get started? I have always tinkered with my cars/trucks and had the bike in my avatar down to the frame and motor before building it back up, but doing a full blown build on a old car is terrifying.
