    For most any item, you can look at other sellers and there may well be an offering from Amazon warehouse or something similar that gives some info on the condition of the item (packaging opened, etc). I've only picked up a few items this way when the cost difference was well worth it and those items always seem to be in great if not new condition.
    I may have to check it out if I'm ordering something that would make sense. Mostly I've been ordering vitamin supplements for me and the dog lately so I don't think I want returned/used items for those. :):
