He is referring to 19/70 rounds had issue with failures (not ejecting or not loading & stovepipes).

I took my Colt Woodsman to the gunsmith at Highsmith Guns in Greenfield today to get my windage screw fixed & mentioned my 19/70 failures & he agreed after 450 rounds it could just need cleaned.
He also suggested it might not be broken in yet.
Also, ater cleaning if it continues, run 100 rounds of CCI Mini-Mags through it to loosen it up (my words not his).
Since it did not do that with 2 or 3 different ammo brands (only a little), I'm going with the "dirty" theory.
I did put a few drops of oil on the rails, but that didn't seem to help.
Keep telling yourself that! Just don’t buy anymore 41s please

Just curious and I may have missed it. Do you run CCI standard velocity in your 41? If so do they feed well. I hear thats the preferred load but my 41 will not tolerate them at all. Even with brand new smith mags and a Volquartsen extractor installed.

That's when I was told to run:
    the CCI SV.
I have also ran some SK Plus standard velocity and some basy low level Eley.
your situation would drive me to distraction!
    If mine did that,
I would run something run something over 1200 FPS to test it out.
my older 1980s Smith 41 has digested the CCI SV, although, not perfectly.
I'm going to try the Eli that I have & the SK Plus, both Standard velocity do you see if it will run with less failures.

If all else fails sell them and get something reliable like a Taurus. Heck you could get like 20 of them for the price of those fancy basically paperweights

    Paperweights?! Fancy?! :stickpoke:
I can't win in this hobby. :dunno:
Most people cajole me b/c I'm cheap, I mean thrifty .
I've been told, "It's only money!" :wallbash:

Now that I've reached the later stage of life where I splurge a little in the hobby realizing the clock is ticking even faster than expected.
Arthritis is a gift that keeps on giving.
Now I have to hear accusations of "fancy" & "paperweights."

In the past 5 months, I confess I have gone crazy with these "paperweight" items now in the safe:
    - 06-2023 - Hi-Standard "The Victor" Military model x2 mags (INGO) early/mid 70s
    - 07-2023 - Thompson Center Contender 10" 1983 (extra forearm & rear sights) (INGO)
    - 09-2023 - SW 41, 2 mags, 2 yrs. old (INGO)
    - 10-2023 - Colt Woodsman Match Target 6" Gen 3, 1973, 1 mag, no box (Hoosier Topixs)

I have never been happier in the hobby.
I still have less money in any 2 of these (not including the $900 SW 41), than what I have in the
    CZ Shadow 2.
For me, I really splurged with upgrades & accessories. :lmfao:
Since my Shadow 2 is a CZ, I'm sure I'm forgiven on that front, Zackcz! :ingo:

So what you’re telling me is ruger is just as accurate, 100x more reliable, and 1/3 of the cost?
I knew that was coming! :stickpoke:
Actually, 1/2 of the cost (49%), not 33%, but point made. :coffee:
If I do that exercise on my 7/8" circles instead of the 1.75" circles, you'd see that the SW 41 is more accurate.

But your point, "At what cost," is a valid one.
One, of which, had me wondering as I was leaving the range today, how I ended up having a bevy of "expensive" .22LRs for the range instead of my usual modestly priced .22LRs.
What's better, to eek out a bit more % of improvement per dollar, or just move the target closer? :lmfao:
That's what I do at the .22LR range, staying at 50 yds.
B/C I need better scopes for 100 yds, which leads to better rifles, which leads to better ammo, which leads to............. :nono:
I imagine when others see the pleasure I get shooting non-optics at only 21' & optics at only 30' on 1.75" circles, they just shake their heads.

Then there is you, who can shoot free-hand better than I can on a rest.
Now that I've learned to rest the barrel as well, maybe I can beat you now. :rockwoot:

I would hope so from a rest but I am getting new spectacles tomorrow so I’m going to shoot way better or way worse. We will se.

Picked up another Ruger Mark 4 with great Wood grips! :rockwoot:
Now I get to compare it with another I bought recently with TandemKross grips & a halo ring.

    95% & 95% at 21'
    75% at 30'
Used CCI SV with iron sights.

Ruger LCR .22LR 3" DA/SA with rear adjustable sights.
Bought from Classifieds from a member who bought my Beretta 92 INOX a few months back. :ingo:
Used 150 rds of Federal Value Pack 36 grain HP.
Didn't use the good stuff for a revolver that I didn't buy for accuracy but for DA trigger practice. :dunno:
That, & I only have 1 other revolver after trimming them, again. :draw:

Took me 80 rounds to dial in the rear sights for my eyes using another target. :ugh:
Got the windage to suit me, but still working on elevation on this target.
2nd row of S/A, I learned that I had to focus pulling the trigger more on
    S/A, like I do with D/A.
8 rds in each 3.75" Cir. at 21' & 30' in DA & SA mode.
    Range. 12.06.2023 1st visit 3.75 in Cir at 21 & 30 ft DA & SA.jpg

Just a boring pic of an LCR 3" .22LR, but I've never let that stop me in the past! :lmfao:
I did spare you from more boring pics.

No romance, just a tool for my entertainment.
Perfect for DA practice & I even learned yesterday that I need to concentrate more even on SA, even though I thought I was. :dunno:

Zackcz is always telling me (along with dozens other on INGO), that I'm the weak part in the equation! :lmfao:
I'm always in denial: blaming ammo, rings & scope, eyesight, arthritis or whatever else I can come up with. :fogey:
It's a great stress reliever since I don't even try to use my 1.75" circles, but use the 3.75" circles. :laugh6:
    I need 2.75", haha!

2nd range visit with the Ruger LCR 3" .22LR.

Just having fun with a page of 3 different sized circles:
    - small: 1 5/16"
    - medium: 2 3/4"
    - large: 4 3/4"

    Varying distances from 15', 21' & 30'
Mostly D/A with two S/A circles.
Was adjusting windage & elevation along the way.
Where the groups were wilder, I adjusted the wrong way & had to correct. :ugh:
