That's 2% of your shots resulting in a stovepipe. Is that typical for a .22LR? That seems like a lot to me, but honestly I'm no expert.I had 7 stovepipes, even though the next round inserted into chamber.
The first few mags had 6 rounds that I had to pull the trigger twice to fire, which I think was ammo related, since I was getting good strikes.
I had to hunt this up to find out what gun you were talking about. That's 2% of your shots resulting in a stovepipe. Is that typical for a .22LR? That seems like a lot to me, but honestly I'm no expert.
The rear sight on a TX is a little cheesy at best but once I got mine adjusted and locked they haven't moved. They are so small they are much use for my old eyes anyway. I've found the TX capable of excellent accuracy (easily 1" groups offhand @ 7 yards) using an optic or laser. I only use the standard TX for training new shooters at this point. I still shoot the TX comp model often and do my personal training with a P322 with an optic. I find both are more accurate that the standard TX.Took a new never-shot Taurus TX belonging to Zachcz
&
the used one I bought Monday from another friend
&
shot 2 days ago that I had issues with the rear sights (common problem).
My shots were all over the place trying for POI to be consistent with POA, but couldn't do it.
Today I didn't touch my sights at all
&
I didn't dare move Zack's TX rear sights in case I ran into the same POI "traveling," but his didn't need adjustment anyway.
I view the TX rear sights as NON-ADJUSTABLE or "good luck" trying to adjust, haha!
Neither gun had a malfunction.
I put 135 rds through Zack's & 185 rds through mine today.
I put 245 rds through yesterday on mine
&
had a problem 2-3 times with the 2nd round not loading, but I assume that was me since today I was more careful & had no issue at all.
Zack's 1st mag on 3.75" circles at 22' using CCI Mini-Mags.
10 rds, 5 rds & 1 rd from the 1st mag.

Still shooting CCI Mini-Mags using 2" circles at 21'.
22/25 rds inside circles = 88%

My standard test: 1.75" circles at 21' for non-optic .22LR.
1st circle had me excited thinking they were all going to do that, but no.
I have to remember it's a $300 gun.
My Bersa 22LR, a $300 gun, I have to use at 15', b/c it's groups aren't as good at 21'.
I used 4 different brands of ammo.
As long as a gun will do 90% consistently, it's a keeper.
The Rem. Golden Bullets are OK for plinking but it couldn't quite keep up with the other brands: close, though.
I was pleased with this & the gun functions as Zack claimed his in the past have.

My TX
1st circle is yesterday before I adjusted anything.
I should have left it alone since I spent the day chasing after the POI.
Today, w/o any adjustments I finished the 1st row & shot the 2nd row to see how it would hold together in consistency.
I didn't dare touch the rear sights b/c it was "close" at least.

My TX
I put 15 rounds using 8 brands of ammo to see where POI.
No adjustments made.
Ignore circle 1 (different gun on different day).
3.75" circles at 21'.
CCI Blazer has never let me down & was the best group at 1".

1.75" circles at 21'.
CCI Blazer & Federal AutoMatch did well.
Rem. GB sucked.

Your eyes and hands are better than mine. The rear sight on a TX is a little cheesy at best but once I got mine adjusted and locked they haven't moved. I doubt that my eyes are any better. Optic and focus at the target rather than the front sight makes all the difference. I don't have much better luck than you with open sights.Your eyes and hands are better than mine.
I can usually keep five rounds inside a 1.75" circle but no way with 1".
now that have a different TX with a red front optic it's a little easier for me to get on target.
I still intend to buy the Sig 322 when I can do so for $400.

Careful what you wish for, in stock at least right now.

But:
Pick Up In Store
Out of Stock In
Greenwood, IN
I did get on their list to notify when available.
Thanks for the heads-up!
I have gotten those notices before & at first didn't realize they were local, but when I did they were always out of stock.
There are other places online for $399 but I don't want to pay the additional ordering fees.
I rarely order a gun but have done it for a SW 3rd gen & CZ rifle in the past.
I have bought & sold four other .22LR while waiting for the Sig 422 for $400, so I'm having fun anyway.
I was told twice at Range USA (Point Blank) that the price was $400 when they had them in stock.
I put my name on a list but when they called me price was then $450, so I passed & said I'd wait till price settles down to MFSR, haha!
I have no need or urgency to pay over MSRP.
I know exactly what the price is for the 322 from the factory to dealers since I know someone who buys directly.
Unfortunately, I'm not in the loop, haha!
Not allowed to say, of course, but everyone is making money at the $400.
Paying more is just a bonus of supply & demand the dealer can benefit from.
I'll wait.
I couldn't even see the "X" at 50 yds.I was able to find a P322 for $399 in Anderson and jumped on it! Got lucky , was about 10 minutes before the store closed that day. The P322 is quite a shooter. I had a Holosun 407K 6 MOA on it to begin with but then put my Romeo Zero 3 MOA on it. The 3 MOA is more precise (for me) at the longer ranges. Last weekend shot this at 50 yards.
I can't see the X either. At 50 yards all I see is one black circle of the 8,9 and 10 rings. All I try to do is to keep the red dot in the center of the black while trying to squeeze the trigger. Of course easier said than done! Many times the dot is bouncing around all over the place!I couldn't even see the "X" at 50 yds.
Not at 50'.
Thanks for the heads-up.
I would still call before going to see if the truly have any in stockThanks for the heads-up.
Of all days, I have someone coming over at 7 am to help me get some work done with gates, ramps & door latches.
Glad to see someone selling at the $400 MSRP, more will follow!
I'll be back in the state late Tuesday,No target pics since I was just shooting plates but super impressed with these new additions
Sure doddg will give them a proper run at at the range this week. Surprised if they both don’t shoot 90 or better in his format.
