My new ‘complete’ AR-platform pistol lower is currently naked so I’m looking for a pistol/SBR upper. Ideally I’d like a factory-built RRA 7 inch, with bolt & charging handle.
I’m hoping that someone has one that isn’t being put to use, and is willing to let me adopt it. I’m not interested...
'preciate the offer of help!
I've got a few stripped lowers paid for and waiting at my FFL for pick-up (as well as one complete RRA pistol lower and a Remington Model 5 that I bought by phone from Cabella's in Dundee during their Saturday morning sale... I hate wasting any of those 5 lines on...
Well, one local cat occasionally would munch on a chipmunk (it was such a pleasing sound!) so I didn't want to get rid of one form of solution to the problem. So I'd try to hide the traps in areas that a cat would be unlikely to be able to get to.
BTW, that cat would then head back 'home' to...
And don't believe Remington when they say that you MUST use their O-rings! You can get a small handful for the same price Remington charges for one. If you need the specs tell me and when I get home I'll look-up the size of them.
Pellet guns aren't an option for me and I've tried poison pellets of all forms, and the dang critters were still everywhere. One time I spotted one mocking me by coming up on my deck and eating sunflower seeds he took from my bird feeders 20 feet away... and that did it. The war was on...
I don't know what caliber(s) you're looking at for reloading using ex-military pieces-parts, but whatever you want you'd better look to grab some if you still can spot it at their old cheap prices. More and more rules are trickling in that prevent the selling-off of military ammo components...
Asking $50 for a decent lot that includes decent self defense rounds...? Not outrageous and I'll guess that you'll sell it within 48 (if not 24) hours.
Many years ago I started my wife with a Ruger MkII and she loved it... even after a case ricocheted off the right wall of the stall, landed in her bra and burned her. Although she now has her own Beretta 92 (regardless of her grip she limp-wrists it once in a while), she still loves that MkII.
38 spl is what I love to use (in my S&W66) for friends' first time with a handgun. Locally I only spotted one stray box, and it was +p JHP that was grossly overpriced.
Surfing the net I found that Widener's Reloading has Prvi Partizan 158gr LRN in stock (!?) for $13.90 a box. They warn that...
Just a heads-up from a newbie... RockRiverArms complete pistol lowers ( dedicated pistol-marked [ATF-satisfying] lower, lower parts kit and carbine-length pistol-style buffer, factory assembled) are again becoming available at list price (about $275). Check out JTAC Supply and/or Class3Weapons...
