Daughter needs a car and of course has requirements...

Tough to find a manual, especially an un-abused one. If you can find them, go with Toyota or Honda and Mazda. Premium fuel is required in the Si civics best I can remember and will be higher on insurance if it matters. Don't forget Accord and Camry, Mazda6 not just the compact Corolla and...

      9.10.24 Presidential Debate

In just a few minutes out of pure boredom, I confirmed what I already knew. (And promptly shut it off) Same smoke and mirrors, and meaningless babbling about nothing that will accomplish nothing. Americans don't have it bad enough yet for there to be any real change for good. As others have...

Brand Loyalty, Why Or Why Not?

I only care about a brand if they give me reasons to care. If quality and functionality, service and prices are the best then they get the business.

Civil Religious Discussions : all things Christianity II

I've heard of Gregory and I just started reading"On The Incarnation" by Athanasius which I think will be interesting.

Civil Religious Discussions : all things Christianity II

Was Calvin simply a lawyer that got into theology, not a born-again believer? That would maybe explain his legalistic, courtroom-lens theology if so. As opposed to one based on relationship.

Civil Religious Discussions : all things Christianity II

I'm no expert scholar, but They have always been and have always been in it.(Face to face) I believe we have the opportunity to join it as well thus, ideally we should constantly become more like Christ as we surrender to the Lordship of the Spirit because He will continually reveal the nature...

Civil Religious Discussions : all things Christianity II

Western religion (first problem) has exchanged the union of fellowship with a triune God for the mental masturbation of theology, or even worse, just being hip or giving motivational speeches with talented bands playing catchy-lifeless music. The religious bunch were always the ones fighting...

      WTS: (SOLD)2015 MAZDA 6

Nice car, I bought it from the original owners and didn't use it much because we found a Tahoe for the room. Great running fuel-efficient car. Good tires, cross-drilled/slotted rotors, Heated leather, Navi, Sunroof, Blind-spot monitoring etc. A little under 107k on the miles. Has a few small...

State sales tax on a service ?

Maybe, big deal. I'm in the business but even when I wasn't, there's always another vehicle out there to buy unless you're impatient. I've walked out plenty of times. Don't have to deal with it now but as firecadet613 said, get the OTD price settled first, and make sure they stick to it. It's...

State sales tax on a service ?

Doc fees are complete BS, not necessary. Not sure on the tax question really but you should have laid the money down minus a $20 bill and said this is what I'll pay right now, take it or leave it! Sounds like a new car store to me but I'm sure some independents do the same crap.

      Movies - Old vs. New

Most newer movies suck overall. I lost track long ago of how many I've shut off within the first 5-10 minutes!

      More media spin

Simultaneously, most media is made to reinforce bias. Just enough of what each audience (conservative, marxist, socialist, liberal, doesn't matter) wants to hear to keep the machine going. All the while, basically amounting to nothing but the stirring of emotions. Smoke and mirrors. Endless...

      Lifestyle change

My cousin is really enjoying a book called HOW NOT TO DIE. It's on par with most things I've already read and heard over the years so I'm not buying the book but I think the principles are consistent with what will keep all of the garbage out of your body.
