Anyone investing in Series I Bonds?

I was able to load the main page once but can't get past that. A couple of days ago it would load fine but I got busy and didn't sign up. Maybe I'll try early morning to see if it's any better.

Anyone investing in Series I Bonds?

So if I'm understanding it correctly if I buy into I Bonds before the Nov 1st rate change I'm locked into the 9% rate for the next 6 months? Then after 6 months I get what ever the current rate is? I assume then this repeats every 6 months? Looks like their website is crashing cause of the...

      Yesterday

We still do this on most road trips, probably 80% of the time it's a packed lunch.

Anyone have access to a GM discount?

I would be interested in the CJDR ;). I'm in the market for a 1500, only thing hold me up is the ridiculous pricing for the last couple years.

      Venison processing workshops

I've been processing our deer for the last 20 years but am interested to see if I can learn something new.

Likely my last post here for awhile.

Best wishes to you sir. There's definitely a dark hole that in life that can suck you in and a lot of people don't realize they're in the hole. It's a huge accomplishment in itself to realize were you are at and acceptance to get help. Prayers for you and your family.

Mandated vaccines or weekly testing for employers of 100+ people.......

My wife just got notice that she has to renew her exemption for the covid shot. Being in healthcare I'm not sure how she has skirted the government CMS mandate. It sucks that at a stroke of a pen she could still be fired for not getting the shot.

      2022 Official Gratuitous Grilling/BBQ/Cooking Thread

Just ordered a Camp Chef SG30 pellet grill. Never smoked before so this should be fun to start with. Planning on getting some grill grates so maybe I can get hot enough to sear steaks too. If not I can always fire up the charcoal kettle.

The INGO Hardcore Weight Loss/Fitness Thread

I'm not really doing the diet thing, just cutting back on portion sizes and not doing the late night snack thing. Still eat the same not so great food. The late night snacks are the hardest for me, I love to stay up late and graze on anything I can find. Then for the past year I've been...

The INGO Hardcore Weight Loss/Fitness Thread

yes I need a little reminder. I'm down 40lbs but haven't lost anything all summer, gained a couple pounds. Only have about another 20 to 30lbs to go. It's hard to find the time to exercise in the summer and then the get togethers where bad food is everywhere LOL.

2023 Chevy Colorado redesign, ZR2 looks interesting

I was real interested in the new Colorado/Canyon but it appears they are only offering the crew cab with the short bed. If I'm stepping down from my full size truck I really want to have the 6ft bed option. Also not many people on the forums think the 8sp tranny is worth a crap, apparently...

      Electrician?

Bummer he was 3-4 weeks out last month. The other guy I had quote was 4-6 weeks out. It's rough trying to get things done quickly anymore.

      Electrician?

I just had Ryan at Mission Electric in Pittsboro do a small outside job for me. Very nice guy and wouldn't have any issue with him in my house. He was barely less expensive of 2 quotes I received but I still thought it was on the high side. However I usually think everything is on the high...

      Hospitals slow to disclose prices

I understand this as it does get complicated. However it is frustrating that neither the provider or insurance can give you a cost up front for a procedure. At least for routine procedures such as a colonoscopy. The provider knows dang well the approximate charge they are going to bill...

      Hospitals slow to disclose prices

It's ridiculous that at least 90% of the time we receive a bill from anything medical related we have to call either the provider or insurance to get the billing corrected. I cannot think of a single the error was in our favor, funny how that works. I'm grateful for my wife who is a stickler...

      Do your kids like Legos?

That's awesome. I looked at this a couple years ago but couldn't find a team local to Brownsburg. One of the contacts listed said he tried for a couple years to front a team in B-burg but couldn't drum up enough interest. The grade school had a teacher that did it on the side but when covid...

      Shen Yun

Wife dragged my ass to it a few years ago. It was damn boring and I think we were the only people there under 60 years old. Don't know if it leaned any direction....I've tried my best to forget the experience.

How is the car market by you?

I wish the market would start to improve. I'd like to have a new(er) truck but I refuse to pay these prices. My current truck just turned 100k miles a couple weeks ago. The truck was literally perfect until 98k miles, the trans decided it was done. Now I'm hearing the beginning stages of a...
