Ford 60th Annual Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show

Wow, deer expo on the last weekend? That's a big change that may catch some folks off guard. Guess us deer hunters have to take a back seat to the bike folks.

Rock Chucker IV Failure Common Occurrence??

I was priming some cases the other day on my Rockchucker when all of a sudden everything got discomboobulated! Of course RCBS being the upstanding outfit they are has replacement parts on the way. Does this happen much? Is it something that can be prevented? My suspicion is that the priming arm...

SOLD!! Up for sale is my Marlin 1894 44 Magnum, rifle only, scope not included. I purchased it new in 2008 so it is NOT a Remington. I have taken meticulous care of this rifle. No scratches, dents or dings. It is a tack driver. I am including 101 rounds of the same hand loads that produced the...

      Illinois Deer # way down

I have not been paying any attention to KY regs and hunting the last few years. Are they trying to reduce the herd like IL & IN are?

      Couple ML questions

If you go with the BH209 you won't have to swab between shots and since the powder is extruded it is very consistent. Once you find the right charge you will be able to easily get the same charge time and time again.

      Gun for coyote hunting

.243 would be my choice especially if you think you might ever do any rifle hunting in other states that allow it.

      Couple ML questions

Can you post up a target for us to see what kind of groups you are getting? IMHO, Blackhorn 209 is THE choice for a black powder propellant. I used it a few years before going the smokeless route. Some folks have great results with pellets but I never could, loose powder was always the best...

Deciphering license requirements....sorry, I know, not again....

Yes you can use your bonus antler-less tags with your ML during ML season. If you bought the bundle, you could use the either sex tag for all seasons as well except urban zone hunting, must use a special urban zone tag for urban zone hunting.

      Hunting Gear

Just remember the saying "cotton kills". Its OK for outer layers if you want but for base layers go with a synthetic material and wool outer garments cannot be beat IMO. I personally use the Medalist brand of base layers.

First kill with my 358 Hoosier

A good friend used his chrony and we got just under 2600fps. I still have much load development to do and feel I can get to 2700fps, just hope I can get good groups at the speed.
