      Changing carry gun habits

Nice results. Glad that gun's working out for you. It's a lovely piece of work by the folk at Sig, IMO. Gregkl ... not a stipple job, Talon grips in the rubber texture.

      Changing carry gun habits

If two guns fill the same niche in my "collection" and I find nothing particularly great about the first one, I might unload it ... especially if I can put the money toward something else I want to shoot, be that something else defensive/carry or pure rec (such as another good plinker or target...

22LR, what happened this time, they are everywhere

I can see why he didn't include it in the photo. Casual waving around of the ban hammer could strike fear, not to mention envy, into the INGO populace. Wouldn't want that.

22LR, what happened this time, they are everywhere

The bolt action boys have a point. OTH, there's nothing wrong with pushing a reactive target around on the grass (under proper range conditions) or making plates ping with a 10/22 or Marlin Model 60, either. One of the biggest selling points of the .22LR in adult hands, IMO, is you can do pretty...

22LR, what happened this time, they are everywhere

Strange how it varies: .22LR, .380, 9mm, .40 and .45 are nearly wiped out around here when it comes to local shelves, and when it comes in, it departs quickly. Seems true for .223/5.56 and 7.62x39, too. Rural King had four 100-count boxes of Federal .223 on Saturday morning. I bought two, left...

22LR, what happened this time, they are everywhere

Certainly nothing wrong with the Marlin Model 60, but I'd go with the 10/22 first. Pretty fine little shooter straight out of the box and endlessly modifiable to your personal preferences or tastes.

As a newb and a freshly minted site supporter, this gives me the raging butthurt. :crying: Does Ballistol work on the butthurt?

22LR, what happened this time, they are everywhere

Hoss, I think some people can't get past their opinions/emotions when it comes to certain subjects. I honestly can't say I've seen the economic reality of it explained better than in a couple posts on this thread, but we've still got some folks going "Yeah, but" and getting into...

      Gun Sales

I'm holding off new gun purchases, for sure. Was debating among a few things and about to make a decision between a .22LR race pistol, one those fancy-ish 10/22 variants from TC, and a second Ruger LCP (mine's got some rounds through it, might be time to get it a brother). But, right now with...

      Gun Sales

We (2A supporters in general) are pretty much the very crowd that's argued for no-restriction gun buying ability and against any sort of mandated training or education. So, while it may be an interesting time to comment on first-time owners' displaying less-than admirable or stellar behaviors --...

What is up with these Remington Golden's

Same situation here. Again, older stock and from the boxes, not the buckets ... but they've been largely OK for me. I haven't looked for 'em from new or recent stock. Trying to lean toward CCI as my first choice and Aguila Super Extra when I find 'em (nice round for the price). Federal...

      Guns "essential business"
