      Update:: Called a company that specializes in Tec-9 repairs-- apparently due to the 20 year old plastic and the fact that its non-porous, etc, nothing will work to repair short of drilling it and using a weld bar... SO, looks like I am picking up Cwood's receiver!! Thanks all for the help--

      +1 on that, a mil-spec buffer tube is 1.148" while the commercial is at 1.168". Even though it is ever so slight a difference, you cannot swap stocks on them.       Great, yes it has been a while since I have seen one. I went and looked it up; when Bushmaster bought Professional Ordinance and the design, they fixed the problems the problems PO had and started producing them as Bushmaster. Nice, light AR, weighing in around 4 1/2 pounds right?
