      Anyone using the .458 socom for deer?

      Thanks Dave29. The one on the left was shot at about 30 yards with my muzzle loader. I was using the Barnes MZ Expander ball in my TC 209x50 and 2 pellets of Pyrodex RS. :)

      Anyone using the .458 socom for deer?

      I hope my picture comes thru. The one on the right was taken last year with my .458. 34 gr. H 110 and the Barnes 300 Gr TTSX. Was shootiing into 3 inches at a 100 yards. Didn't have much time to work up a load. RR Upper and Lower, Nikon 2.5 to 7 Scope. Deer was about 80 yards...

      IMHO this is like listening to a movie critic or a food critic. Do what feels right to you. If you like it does it really matter if no one else cares for it. If I had that kind of talent I probably would take advantage of it. Again just IMHO. :):

      Whittakers have in the past allowed me to take a handgun with me as I live in Indiana. The requirement was to have a signed copy from the FFL holder the gun was to be transfered to and I was acting as an agent for the FFL holder.
