Here's a video this guy just put out about winter hammock camping. He's got a ton of other videos on hammocks as well.

It's possible that you put the thermometer in the wrong spot. And why the oven at 350? Time? I ask because I know of people that have put smoke to butts until it reached 140, then finished in an oven at only 250.
It wouldn't have helped here but I rest mine for a minimum of 2 hours now. I...
Honestly, and I'm probably in the minority, but I pretty much don't get through her videos anymore. I can't remember the last full video I watched from her. I do like her medical on the occasion she actually does one.
Yeah, that's pretty much what I was wondering about. I also have a sleep pad that's rolled up in mine. I can get all of this in the black bag but it's a tight fit. Like you mentioned, the straps at the bottom just aren't the best for securing this thing. I will probably look for some other...
I use an ILBE and GI sleep system. I assume you're talking about the 4-piece system. It sounds like you're saying that you put it IN the pack? Or do you attach it to the outside? If so, how do you do it? I use some paracord to do mine but just don't like the way I have it.
Great post. You do what I do in that what I consider a bugout pack is also a camping/hiking pack. I've thought about doing separate packs for each but the only downside that I see really is that you're carrying more weight than you need on just a short trip like you took. On the other hand...
I think he needs to win another title or two to be really considered. There's no question that no one can do what he does. The problem is his reputation of not performing in the playoffs (IMO Dominic Rhodes was the MVP of the Colts' last title). He also threw a pick six late in his other...
My son and I participated in the longer class. If you don't really have a "complete" bag put together, reread the above. I say bring what you have and just use that. I noticed a couple of people in our class with bring new stuff, stuff so new it still had the tags on it. I think hurrying...
I feel like if I'm looking for that much room, I'm doing something wrong. I put my spare clothes inside a thick trashbag inside another trashbag, then wrap the excess all around it like a package. The bags have their potential uses too.
I don't see that it matters where something happens. If it affects you, then it just became SHTF for you. I have a list of 20 SHTF scenarios that I have listed basically in order of likelihood. If something happens 1000 miles away and it causes one of them for me, it might as have happened...
