ahhh. how badly i wanted a black van and a sleek speedboat. and a crime lab above the garage. good books. and good on you for putting the joy of reading in your child's life. my hat is off to you sir. i'd have repped you if it wasn't disabled.
you may want to consider the anti-dry fire device as not quite necessary. with my excalibur equinox (google them. they're pretty cool, and rugged) you can decock it with the rope cocking device. in other words, you don't have to fire it when you are ready to unload.
not real sure what you meant here. I'm just saying that witnesses and assailants probably wouldn't notice if the person with the wheel gun was shooting SA or DA. that is all.
just how in the heck are they going to find this out after the fact? such a miniscule detail is dang near impossible to notice in a gunfight. if someone is shooting at you, you are going to look for a way out, a hole to hide in, or a weapon with which to kill them back, not to see if they have...
thanks! i really hadn't considered the wind resistance part. that likely would have helped us a lot. if we're ever out when the wind comes up again we are definitely going to kneel in the bottom and weight the bow with rocks or something, because I am heavier and sit in the back to steer since...
sounds like a good idea to plan it around the weather, unfortunately the forecast i saw didn't indicate more than a few slower gusts for that afternoon. instead of gusts, it blew hard for about 2 hours. if we hadn't had to get home we would have tried to land and wait it out, but we had to get...
the way this lake is shaped and the way the wind was blowing yesterday, there was no leeward side to get where i had to go. also, going across the wind (to go across the lake) would have capsized us. but the weight thing you suggested (bow heavy) goes along with what i was thinking of on our...
Yesterday (5/8/2012), my brother and I went out canoeing at Roush Lake in Huntington. My canoe is a polymer old town without the keel/spine/ridge thingy along the bottom. We paddled away from the dam and boat ramp for the morning and early afternoon (we turned around about 3/4 mile past the...
my two cents? wedges and a sledge for big/knotty/stubborn pieces. an ax typically splits best only when the wood is straight grained and dry. my dad favors a maul for big nasty logs, but he's incredibly strong, the wedges allow you to make your progress a little bit at a time instead of...
my old '99 s10 had that engine and ran to 190k miles with no engine problems (i had to put on a new alternator and coolant pump) until some less than talented driver took my right of way and totaled my truck. now i have another used s10 ('02) with the 4.3 (160k) and its been running strong, the...
he wouldn't have had to put that on there if auto manufacturers didn't insist on putting an escape lever/ripcord in the trunk. those inconsiderate jerks.
please. don't wear it in the front (12 o'clock). i'd die of laughter if it went off. :D but seriously, a marine i served with was fiddling with the pin on one in a pouch on his flak jacket. he snapped the pin or something and the spoon came free when he was climbing down from post. needless...
