Not that hard :). My first gaming PC was 2K once I got it all put together. My second I built almost 5 years ago probably cost around 2500. Then you have to buy games :).
Cool thing is, if you build it right, you can still play the latest and greatest years later rather than paying for crap...

Definitely inventory your stuff, or at least have a video recording you can use later. But really assigning dollar amounts now is rather futile. Unless it's antique furniture, the prices will fluctuate, and you'll have to re-assess everything. Insurance companies cover...
Tell you what -- If you're looking for online services, go with a dedicated media player box. I picked up one for 99 last week. It does netflix, blockbuster, Cinema Now (to rent/buy new releases and just-aired TV shows), and a host of other services. It also plays (almost) every file format...
Watch out for rest stops. I've seen a number of notices put out in years past about dudes shooting up there because of the public access, isolation, and ease of escape. Just a thought.

melensdad makes good points, but I have only one. If it passes, everyone who didn't want it to pass will still carry in compliance with the new law, in all states :).
Shipped off my crappy backpacks to Major Surplus. Only had them since April and both have been sitting in my truck/car respectively, and each of them had a side pocket that manifested faulty zippers. Hopefully, I'll get better luck with the next ones.. In the meantime, my emergency packs are...
