      Generally, any of the Danner boots that you see with the stitched on sole, is made in the USA. The boots from Danner that have the wrap around (glue on) sole are made in batches overseas.

      That is a great lesson hidden in this thread. Make sure your spouses and older children know what you have and how to use it. I ran into this, just this week. I needed help with something, but didn't adequately have my 'team' trained on what/where it was. Could have been catastrophic. Great lesson!

      If its really cold and you are going to be outside, you want the insulted variants - either the 200gram or 400gram. I would recommend if you are going to be moving alot, then choose the 200gram. But if you are going to be more stationary, choose a pair of boots with the 400gram insulation...

      I agree. I can think of no personal protection application for a taser, stun gun, whatever. If someone needs shot by a citizen, they need shot - there is no in between.
