Ohio classes are taught by private individuals/ranges/schools, and that is where the corruption lies.
"Give me money, you take the class, I give you a certificate. Don't want to take the class? I think we can work something out here."
But we're not talking about the end product being just a certificate. We're talking about walking out with a LTCH. That means everything that's done now to get one, background check through ISP, fingerprints, etc., plus the class.
KY requires training for their CCW. It's done by private individuals/ranges/schools. It is regulated, but I won't say it's not abused or even meaningful.
