    I had a pager just like that not too many years ago for nights and weekends when nobody was at the plant. When an alarm triggered on our paint line system, it would page me, with a code as to what might be wrong. I could then monitor the system from home using my laptop, and sometimes correct the problem from there. If it was a truly serious problem I would have to go in to correct it.
