that might put a stop to all these school shootings
As a rifle instructor, I hate these sort of photos ... all I see are the items that are correct and those that need to be corrected.

Good:
- support elbow is in a good position
- support hand looks to be relaxed
- solid cheek weld
- trigger hand is well placed
- trigger finger looks a bit deep, but that's easily corrected
- student looks to be strongly engaged and willing to learn (and easy on the eyes)
Bad:
- no eye or ear pro
- sling cuff is too low on the support arm
- squinting is a no-no ... causes muscle strain which equals fatigue ... shoot with both eyes open or block the off eye (especially if it's the dominant eye and that's why the student is squinting)
- instructor is watching the target and not observing the student ... the only time you don't watch the student is if you're watching the front sight to see how it reacts to the student taking the shot.
*** SIGH *** ... I need to get a life ...

Yeah, ear pro had been around for awhile but I didn't see a big push for eye pro until around 2004-2005.Eye and ear pro?
Do you know how old that pic is?
I don't think I heard of wearing ear pro for anything other than a 12 gauge or large cal rifle.
A .22. I don't think anyone there would have any.
Eye pro?
I can't even remember the first time I heard of that.
Maybe in the navy when working on energized equipment.
But with guns? Probably not til the 1990s.
