It was focused on the cyclist.
Not the front or the back.
I was thinking another cyclist had cameras. It is likely the guy was passing another rider, which is why he was in the middle, which is perfectly legal, as is two abreast, and the video was shot by him. If you look the camera is about the same speed as the the bicyclist…

    Yes.
It just seems funny, or even staged, to me.
    Not looking forward.
Not looking at the car that passed them.
    Not looking around.
Not looking behind to check on more traffic.
Instead, focused on the guy that got hit.
    The entire time.

I could be wrong. Most likely I am.
But I've seen too many staged videos in the last year.
So now I'm looking to see if all of them are staged.

If it’s staged, you have to admire the commitment to the bit. Road rash and possible broken bones is a potential price to pay for a “viral video”.

But then again, some people have done dumber for dumber reasons.

I got hit very similar to that, lucky I was strong enough to stay up. The guy broke the front light/side marker light, the side mirror was broken and my handlebar took a paint stripe off the front fender, front door, rear door and rear fender of a new mini-van.

My buddy behind me saw him hit me and thought I was going to die for a moment. The driver was scared he killed someone. One of those deals where it is more traumatic for those watching than the guy hit. Thankfully no one was hurt and no damage other than the guys van that I‘m sure he had to go home and tell the wife they were going to have a big bill fixing their van…

I don't particularly think it's staged...but didn't the Jackass guys make a living doing dumber stuff for dumber reasons with the risk of serious injury?
