No. I would suggest deleting your post.

I don't think the mods are that strict about it. From what I've seen, the rule has been enforced on comparing the religion to negative acts. Saying the word, itself, isn't harmful or accusational.

DrillSGT asked a question about a "word" being banned here. I'd say the answer to his question is "No", it's not a banned word. However, discussion of the meaning and background of the word is against the "No religion" rule.

We use underscores and alternate words in jest... but fear for the inconsistency of the banhammer is likely the reason for that.

The back seat modding is amazing. We have a volunteer group of mods who spend hours and hours attempting to make INGO a better place for FREE! They invest alot of time into this site and it is not an easy job. We have been down this road before. More rules, less rules, no cop basing, INGO loves cops, this place is a cess pool and scares away gun owners, I'm being censored and should be able to say anything I want. It goes on and on. I have been around forums for over 10 years. I'm involved with groups of other forum owners who own some of the biggest boards on the interweb. What we have going on here is excellent.

Sit back, relax, talk guns and off topic conversations as well. We are constantly working to balance a fine line here. Give the mods a break.

I get the feeling that criticizing the mod staff or skirting the line on such topics is not going to end well.

Unless you are privy to what does on behind the scenes, what other Infractions a person has had, etc etc, you cannot say that there is any "inconsistency of the banhammer".

I agree with the admins, give them a break. For people who complain about the political stuff or anything else they disagree with, NO ONE is forcing you to read it. Just skip the thread and move on. To complain about something you aren't forced to read is a little ridiculous especially when its something in its own little thread that isn't mixed up with everything else that is gun related.
It's so cute when the newbs jump in.

Yeah, Lebowski was totally lumping all ___________ in with the violent ones in his comment.

Are you on crack? The goalposts have never been in a fixed location and since all banhammerization is at the mod's sole discretion, by definition it is inconsistent.

EDIT: that's not to say that some bans that weren't warranted. Or that what looks like an unjustified one on the surface isn't justified for what takes place behind the scenes. I'll be the first to concede that there are many paths to a ban. But it's when one path sometimes leads to a ban and sometimes doesn't, even when walking in the same exact footsteps of a predecessor, that we on "this" side start raising a fuss. It's not necessarily because we don't like the rules. It's because we never know which way the rules will be enforced, if at all. And I know I don't need to remind everyone of "promises."

I was in there during Ricks ban and was gonna bring it up, but we were BS'ing about so much other stuff, it never happened! My hat is off to you, Sir!:):

Disclaimer: In no way am I implying that any subject discussed in Ricks shop was BS.......or maybe it ALL was.

Most of what happens in the LGS's I frequent is at least a bit BS
