Not sure what type of hotels you stay in, but zero issues with 60+ night in Hiltons last year (and I think 7-10 days in Marriott properties) around the midwest.I don't want to stay at any hotel in INDIANA, I sure wouldn't stay in the jungle of Mexico unless I was prepared to throw away or burn everything that left my property.
Same here, if you stay in the major names you're good to go. Stay at Buddy and Sally's no tell motel. Not so much. Not sure what type of hotels you stay in, but zero issues with 60+ night in Hiltons last year (and I think 7-10 days in Marriott properties) around the midwest.
So you’re saying no roach coach motels?Same here, if you stay in the major names you're good to go. Stay at Buddy and Sally's no tell motel. Not so much.

Ha, no way. Over the 39 years we have been married we have been in a couple of those. And honestly, I didn't sleep well.So you’re saying no roach coach motels?
Lots of amazing places to visit in our 50 states.I will not plan a vacation to a country that has current refugees.
I have a beautiful wife, and all I have to show her is “blonde tourist walking in _____” videos to change her mind on a lot of places.
I admit both of those are fairly ignorant generalizations but it’s not worth it to me when there are plenty of interesting places to travel elsewhere that have less risk of disappearing forever or worse.
I was in Indianapolis visiting family and stopped at Oreilly auto parts. I heard no less than 5 languages while waiting in line. It was a Saturday morning. Spanish, African dialects I did not understand, but two distinct ones, Mandarin, and English. One cashier spoke Spanish another Mandarin. It felt weird. If you want to go to Mexico just go the the Edinburgh Outlet Mall on the weekend. Once I felt like the only Gringo in the place! Sam’s Club on Rockville road gets that way as well, you could be in Mexico, Haiti, Somalia or Africa, anywhere but Indiana.
Is this where you saw this?News outlets of every nature are reporting that the Mexican Drug Cartels are now targeting popular tourist cities and resorts in order to tap into the $30 Billion Dollar tourist industry. It used to be that the cartels had a code of hands off women and children and tourists; however, that is no longer the case. There are daily reports of cartel violence at places like Cancun where there are gun fights at or near the resorts and nobody is safe. Recently tourists have been robbed, raped, and shot at locations all over Mexico and their national press fails to report many of the incidents. Who in their right mind will go to Mexico on vacation at these targeted resorts and risk it?
That outlet mall has been like that for a decade or more.If you want to go to Mexico just go the the Edinburgh Outlet Mall on the weekend. Once I felt like the only Gringo in the place! Sam’s Club on Rockville road gets that way as well, you could be in Mexico, Haiti, Somalia or Africa, anywhere but Indiana.
But its not safe in chicago? With 7.2M migrants here and nothing in between us, you're prob just as safe in Cancun as you are in Chicago.
I've got a couple of cousins that are down there frequently for weeks at a time on projects they are involved with. They love the place.I am looking at Belize before too much longer, though. I'd love to see the various ruins.
